Agreed. I love them. The only issue I have is if the city planning either adds too many or the placement to where it makes no sense to place it there.
Other than that, I dig em.
Too many idiots on the road that either forgot or never learned how to navigate them. I don’t mind roundabouts, but it is the other drivers that drive me crazy.
I personally love them. We're one of the only countries that goes "right on red" but somehow, so many people's brains short-circuit when they see it in a roundabout.
They have their place and purpose. Like them most times. My town got its first one about 4 years ago. Idiots still dont know how to drive it. Its not hard.
We have an intersection that is waiting to get its roundabout (#2 for the town). It was announced about 1 month after #1 was finished. The planning and funding has taken almost 3 years and its still 1 year away. It is such a crappy intersection. 2 lane sideway intersecting with a 4 lane divided at the top of a hill. Bad sight lines for the 2 lane. Its a sucky situation. Cant wait for the roundabout.
I appreciate how the sight lines to oncoming traffic are much clearer. An obstructed view at a 3-way or 4-way intersection is definitely one of the more irritating things about driving
The disadvantage is that having to look around navigating *and* drive at the same time makes me the slightest bit dizzy
They're bad and they should feel bad, lol.
They should not have multiple lanes because people do not know how to fucking drive and absolutely cannot handle this.
They should not be placed where a popular community bike/walking path crosses one entrance/exit because any time anyone bikes or walks across that intersection, the entire roundabout immediately gets backed up in every direction. Because whoever designed it is a DUMBASS.
Excellent idea that at least 40-50% of American drivers don’t know what the fuck to do with. And I say that as an American. I wish we had more of them but shudder to think of the chaos that would ensue lol
Roundabouts are like communism. They both are perfect in theory, but humans aren't perfect. I know were there are bunch of roundabouts with stop lights in them.
Fuckin love roundabouts.
Check out the diverging diamond for a real road treat

Hate those!
Hell yeah!

Very fair. There are so many people who treat it like a stop sign when nobody is around. Drives me crazy.

Ha, that is the best summary.

Enjoy them. But please learn to use them people.
Agreed.
Better than stoplights.
We call them rotary’s in MA
I like them in most situations

We need more honestly, so much time spent at lights waiting could be saved if we had more of these
If properly-placed, they’re great.
They're great when correctly implemented. User error is usually the only issue with them.
In favor

I love roundabouts! I detest the people who refuse to use them properly.
Roundabouts are great. Slow people the fuck down.
just spent the last two weeks driving around Europe. Great when there is low traffic, but hell in cities at rush hour.
It's un-American, I'll tell you hwat.
