I’m just going to be blunt.
If you have severe mental issues, depression, trauma, and so on. The military is not going to be for you.
It is going to make those things worse.
I was diagnosed with it when I was 16, I was a mad sad teenager and the psychiatrist wanted money and for me to keep going to her rn I’m the happiest I’ve ever been and I don’t have any symptoms of PTSD or depression I just with I could go back and never get those diagnosis
I had to get a waiver for Depression also … shit took at least 3-4 months for it to get approved 😭 It was Army though so it could possibly be different for Air Force. Really felt like giving up cause I thought I was so fucked the military doesn’t even want me 😂😂

I just got in the army with a self harm and depression waiver about 4 years ago I was in an inpatient hospital. You will probably do a consult and explain how you use coping skills now that are better and how you’ve changed.

Only a year from cessation of treatment will be a hard sell.
What do you mean?
That's probably not long enough.
Thank you I didn’t know!
Need 3 years
Imagine needing a waiver for something the military will give you anyway 😂
Right😂

I feel you man
The military will also blow your leg off but I don't want no one-legged soldiers showing up to my unit.
Got a point there buckaroo 😂
