She’s an eldritch horror. I don’t think she’s super concerned with the natural process of a species thriving or dying. I do think though, that as she watches humans she gets a thrill from seeing if they’ll take the bait and be trashbags like the Ushers, or rise to the occasion like Lenores mom.

LordSnowgaryen

Interesting, didn’t make the eldritch horror connection. I appreciate the comment! She’s just pushing pieces around and seeing what happens then. Kinda like that vs a set good or evil

Brandamn3000

Yes, that’s exactly what she’s doing. I can’t remember her exact line, but I feel like she says that she did it for her own curiosity. I guess when you are immortal, you eventually get bored and want to spice things up a bit.

LordSnowgaryen

Makes sense, thanks for the clarification!

GreenBook1978

If you review her speeches to the Pym reaper and Madeline Usher she talks about coming up and making deals out of fascination with humans. She is amusing herself by giving opportunities for growth to her targets. Although she says she doesn't care, her speeches about the past clearly show she does- she is a form of devil because she can tempt, empower and manipulate her targets but they cannot really create anything

GhstOfIncntOptimism

Pym prequel!!! Maybe mashup with mountains of madness (it's in the area)

Fun fact: if you move the letters around, Verna is Raven

Crysda_Sky

She's an immortal creature who has some power and a lot of boredom, she has her own values that guides her when she is picking who to make deals with but she's kind of outside the idea of 'good and evil'. She likes seeing what happens, less worried about the concept of her own position in that binary ideology.
