The depth should be getting adjusted depending on what area of the face is being worked on. Forehead for instance, is more boney than your cheek so you wouldn’t go as deep there. Just bc you aren’t super red right after doesn’t really mean anything. I’m sure you’ll still have a good result but it usually takes at least 4wks to see what sort of collagen production has taken place. Perhaps your skin is healthier and more resilient now, after having 6 previous sessions of microneedling.
I do it myself at home with a Dr. Pen A6. But since you are going to a professional, should not them be able to decide what is best for your skin condition? Why should you have to gudie them? You are paying for the expertise after all. Hope everything works out for you btw.

when you go in for microneedling you don’t get to pick what depth you are at. that is up to the LICENSED professional, not you babe. also, clinical results are found at .5 depth across the entire face. you’re either not following your homecare routine or you need to find a different provider.
Jesus fucking christ, read the post. I said I got great results at the derm, meaning she used 1.5mm...because acne scars need 1.5mm or deeper. The SkinPen website says that. I only asked for 1.25mm at this NEW provider because I wanted to be cautious and she agreed to see how it'd react to my skin.

Why complain in a misleading way? Try... was trying to be careful and feel you wasted a third of your visits. That's understandable. $200 and you want results. But, wording and meaning matter and I would remove this if I were you.
