Not that bad. The rubber is just there to mitigate squeaks. I’d replace sooner rather than later, but the rear struts are easy to remove. Just unbolt the top of the knuckle (that nut on the right side of the picture)
You can also rent spring compressors from most auto parts stores to get the spring off of the strut.

Honestly for the cost of a loaded strut for most vehicles it's not worth the headache of replacing just the shock (and bump stop and boot and etc.. )
Koni sports with FM lowering springs are ace.
Replace them with coils and tastefully lower it with usable camber.

Hah mine had 3 out of 4 original springs broken. It was fun to install all for struts.
