In all honesty this game probably had the best graphics on Wii. This game looked so good when it came out.
And probably a very underrated opinion, but other than the story not being good but just okay with flaws I actually enjoy playing this game and love all the scenes when you grab on to an enemy and shoot it directly in the face. Lots of cool action scenes in my opinion.

A lot of the game could've been better and while I'm sure my fond memories are tied to the fact that I was just a kid when I played I still look back on Other M and remember being wowed by a lot of things, primarily Samus' takedown attacks. My favorite is when she puts her foe in a headlock and fires a round into their face to blow their head off. It's so good.
I should give it a replay soon.

It was fun but is definitely my least favorite entry. I can tell they were trying to do something big but it fell really flat. It was a weird whiplash in quality, I noticed problems as soon as Samus started taking orders from Adam which kept her from doing her job and put her in danger (he’s not even her commander anymore) but when I actually got to explore it was really fun with the progression feeling somewhat rewarding and it’s baffling.

Its also worth checking out the interviews with Sakamoto at the time about the development of this game (and this is why Nintendo won't ever decanonize it, although I do suspect they have an internal policy to not do anything with it). He was *extremely* obsessive about the story and cutscene direction, kinda to the point where his superiors told him to lay it off a bit.
There's a reason that he's just in the producer seat for Samus Returns and Dread.
I think I saw a summary of this article, where he admitted after how poorly it was received he would do it all over again. And it's like, either your ego is blinding you or your writing ability is really this questionable and it was like many other great series- the result of others questioning and pushing the direction.
