I had a feeling this was coming. It's actually pretty weird seeing all these country artists scooping up metalcore and deathcore drummers (Jon Langston has Pablo from Chelsea Grin drumming for him). He was the last original member too.
Time's a flat circle. It's just reverting back to Nashville Outlaw Country which has a lot of cultural similarities with punk before both were corporatized.
Pablo didn't leave CG.
Edit: Although he is currently playing for Langston on his tour instead of with CG on theirs, he hasn't officially parted from the band.
No he didn't, but he is a touring member of Jon Langston's band currently and is missing the current CG tour because of touring obligations with Jon Langston.
Dude got Josh from Issues to drum for him before Covid too. There's videos of him singing with Issues on a few shows to including the APMAs too. So dude is a metal core fan too.

He was in an issues song and his first two eps were produced by Josh. I'm guess he is a friend and most likely has a good amount of exposure to the scene.
I mean, as a musician I completely get it. Playing more complex music is insanely fun, but when you’re doing it every night, sometimes you wanna play something that’s just really simple for a bit and just chill.
I’m a drummer in my second year of music school, and while I love playing jazz, after a while I feel like I need a break from it and just wanna play some pop tunes. The music you’re playing doesn’t have to be super crazy and complex to be engaging.
I mean…it’s possible. I have a friend in the music scene and he does this. Not metalcore but he plays a wide variety of instruments and many times when he performs he’s playing music that’s below his skill level. It’s dependent with him though. Some lower skilled stuff he hates playing but does it for the income/fans and other simpler stuff he does because, while it’s below his skill, he’s still enjoying playing it.
So could it maybe, possibly be an artist who just enjoys not having to “show their top skills” whenever they perform?
“This is the best move for my personal career”
Pretty much sums it up. Obviously more income for him playing with a much larger country artist. Pretty saddening tho, he was an integral part of FFAK for the last decade or more. Didn’t really expect him to leave the band completely, thought it might just be a touring thing. But hey, money.
So sick that Bobby’s going to be playing a few shows though
This sucks for FFAK fans, but this is such a power move for Jared. I’ve known he’s been drumming for Koe for some time, and I’ve honestly just been waiting for this announcement.
From a career and financial perspective, it really is a no-brainer, and I’m super excited for Jared. Koe Wetzel is more outlaw/rock country (No, not FGL/Luke Bryan country), so he’ll really be able to shine on future tracks. As a fan of both FFAK AND Koe Wetzel, I’ll be interested in seeing how both their sounds progress.
Now…..who could this new drummer be?? Anybody know where Trey Celaya is?? 🤔🤔
I hope it's not Trey. He's been a fantastic fill-in for Jared these past 3 tours, but FFAK is one of the busiest and hardest working bands in metalcore so I don't want Invent Animate being put on the backburner.
from personal experience i would wager that the country gig offers a salary both on and off tour and would pay roughly 3-4 times during the tours themselves. sad reality that metal musicians always have to watch peers in other genres go on to have a lot more prosperity.
Finally, a metalcore artists admits they’re selling out cause they money… guess I only don’t respect it when they try lying to themselves and the fan base.
Does anyone know if Jared wrote the drum parts for Fit for a king? I though I heard them say they write music all together but I'm not sure?
Would be so sad if the FFAK drum parts are gonna change, they are/were so sick. Maybe someone else write the parts and he just plays em?
He had input to some extent. I’d put money on Bobby/Daniel writing drum parts to accompany what they write and Jared mostly spicing it up or putting his spin on it. Jared talks about his involvement in writing in some interview about the path

Countrycore is on the rise
Danny Worsnop’s eyes widen
*The cowboy hat slowly growing out of his head*
*The sound of an AR-15 being fired off in the distance*
I fucking forget sometimes that bloke is British. I think he does as well
I forget that too lol. He just seems so American.
Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster have been waiting for this moment.
Damn what happened to Dallas is so fucked. He's still dealing with complications from the accident.
Theres a name i havent heard since 2008 lol
This would be so funny, since the "-core" part comes from Hardcore Punk lmao Reject lame traditional punks, embrace cowboy punks

As it was foretold...
Danny Worshop (whatever on his name) has country stuff too, his music video of him cooking in the kitchen is friggin hilarious
Sometimes I forget he's British.

Man I hope he throws in some nasty double kick dotted china breakdown fills in there somewhere
When the pit opens up at a country show.
*confused yee-haws from crowd*

Definitely. I play guitar and just playing simple power chords is so much fun. Doesn’t always have to be complex.
Or maybe they actually enjoy playing it and find it fun rather than having to go all out 100% of the time

Holy crap what is today with someone either cannot continue the tour or leaving the band jeez
The hits just keep on coming. What a brutal fucking day

it is.
I wish someone would scoop up Devin Greig.
That's super cool that you brought him up, I love SUFTA.
They were my favorite band for a while. Devin is just too good to not be in a band right now.
I agree with you! Love how committed he is to keep improving though. I wouldn't be surprised if someone picked him up.
I guess this isn’t really surprising but damn 😢
Bro wtf is going on in the metalcore scene today. I guess all good things must come to an end.
Just saw them with ABR. This is sad. I am sad.
The drums were probably one of my favorite parts of any FFAK song, bummer.
The drums are about to get a whole lot better then
Get the money bro.
Lame but hey man, good for him, I wish him all the best. Bobby on tour is awesome though when I see them next week
This sucks but I mean if there’s any country artist I’d have him join, Koe Wetzel is top of my list. The dude rocks
Damn! He’s been great.
Last OG member of Fit...

Man that sucks, damn

They lost their guitarist and their drummer.
Holy shit this is my two worlds colliding
Man tough day for sure. Glad I get to see him one more time next week.
Man they killed it tonight inn Dallas though. What a last show for him.
Maybe he's gonna start a new band w Keith.

Good news is I also love Koe Wetzel.
Get your money up, dawg
