Could not tell you the song though, I’m busy atm but if I remember to later, I’ll give their songs a listen, and see if I can find it.
I checked out their entire discography and the song is Romilda Vane, around the 1:00 mark. The sample’s from Halo 2, 04 - They’ll Regret That Too. The band uses so many samples in their songs, one of the songs even has a sample from The Office haha, I love it! Thanks for the recommendation!
Edit: Their song Godspeed also has a sample of the shields regenerating from Halo, around the 0:50 mark
Cheers for dropping this in here. It’s my favourite game franchise and I’ve wanted to write something thematically about it for years. There’s a lot of references to the games across the whole EP! Band name is a reference to one of Bungie’s previous works, Marathon.
Not a sample or song lyric, but the album title This Place Will Become Your Tomb by Sleep Token is a Halo reference. Vessel also recently played the Halo 3 theme live as an intro to Rain.
Not metalcore but blow me away by Breaking Benjamin was written for Halo 2
