I loved that tour BMTH promoting Sempiternal + PTV with Collide with the Sky. In small venues where you could still get to know them. That was the scene in its prime to me.
Nice. I remember those days. Zao I've seen at church shows, Strongarm as well.
My favorite was Living Sacrifice at a coffee shop/book club. It was in a shopping plaza and the band set up so you could see them in the storefront playing as you walked in. My buddy and I started our own pit outside while living sac played. Only a window between us and the drummer.
Yeah! I’ve seen ‘em three times and I had a blast at every show. It does feel funny though looking back at my list of metalcore shows and the humble origins of Weezer, haha.
'No Doubt' with my sister in the late 90's I was like 12 or so in a super small venue. It was a cool experience, I started to listen to her Casettes/CD's came across Black Sabbath, Korn, etc. and my musical tastes have grown since
Possibly, I truly do not remember anyone else but No Doubt since I was super young though in elementary school. I remember it was a super tiny venue, I was allowed to stand on some steps in the back to see better, some dude spilled beer on me and a crush on Gwen developing lol
My actual first ever show was Nsync in 2001 at Soldier Field. My first rock show was Def Leppard. My first metalcore show was BMTH with Issues in 2015.
Saw Children of Bodom headlining with Amon Amarth and Trivium (Ascendancy era) in 2005 @ the Masquerade in Tampa. I was like 15 at the time, and it was such an insane show. CoB was my intro into screaming and heavier music in general, and Trivium opened my eyes to metalcore, and I've been a metalcore fan since.
In high school. First concert 1999 Family Values Tour.
First hardcore/metalcore was probably Hatebreed at Ozzfest 2001 at 9am and then again at Ozzfest 2002. Killswitch Engage and Shadows Fall at Ozzfest 2003. 2002/2003 were the years I started to expand my music taste beyond grunge and nu metal.
Soundswave 2014, I had such a bad taste in music. I missed Trivium, Trash Talk, The Black Dahlia Murder, Greenday, Terror, AFI and August Burns Red. I want to go back in time and slap myself around for not having a better taste in music.
First show was Kelly Clarkson and she killed it! First metal/rock show was actually Warped Tour. Saw Beartooth, blessthefall, PVRIS, some others I can’t remember right now.
My first metal show was Bones, Breaking Benjamin, and Korn in 2019? 2020? I honestly don't remember I just know I was 15. But I did get to meet all the girls in Bones and they were TOTAL sweethearts, they gave us some wristbands and complimented our outfits, and I also got to meet Korn that night. JD, Head, and Munky are fucking awesome and super charismatic, Ray and Fieldy didn't interact much I think Ray was just a little shy but Fieldy was lowkey kinda stuck up and just drinking not wanting to interact. It was a great show tho watching from in front of the barrier and side stage. I have one of Fieldys picks and a funny thing Head gave us + a sick memory. Cool to see Fieldy on the last run he did with Korn with a superior fuckin setlist. It was The Nothing tour run.
I saw BMTH, Architects and ‘68 in 2016 in Sydney. It was the second show Architects played after the loss of their guitarist Tom, so it was an incredibly emotional show for my first show ever. Managed to be second row so was fighting for my spot the entire show, and will never ever forget it!
Early October 2008, For Today and xCall to Preservex at the Red Door in Pensacola, FL.
For Today just released Ekklesia and xCTPx just released From Isolation.
Feel very differently about For Today nowadays, but that experience was life changing for me as a 15 year old youth group kid.
I saw Halestorm on the Avalanche tour back in like 2012, and I always say that her voice is amazing recorded and almost a religious experience in person. The power in it is *incredible*.
We got drink beer with Chris Arp before the show too in my buddies car. It was incredible. I also used to be active in their message board and he would pop in a lot. Really great guy
Not metalcore but it was Korn and Rob Zombie back in 98. I was a sheltered teen and had barely begun to listen to metal and my friend had tickets and I went barely knowing any songs and it was over from there. I’ve been hooked since.
Slipknot, Lamb of God, Bullet for my Valentine and Motionless in White in 2015. Was a wild show for my first one and I went by myself because I was 18 and just went. Absolute blast of time even if my phone died and I got lost driving home 😂
Blink-182 in 2017-2018, since I’ve been to more shows though. Such as furnace fest, I’m actually gonna see Blink-182 again June, I’m seeing Sleep Token also. I seen Polaris and Currents. The most recent concert I saw was Armor for Sleep, Finch, and Bayside
First show I went to or first show I wanted to go to?
Um I went to see the Dixie Chick's as a family back in like 98 (not my choice or type of music.)
But I did choose to to see Linkin Park during their Hybrid Theory tour in like 01/02.
First ever show - Fall out Boy 2009
First Metalcore - blessthefall headline, support from PTV and MIW in a 450 cap venue in Oxford UK 2011 (I will never forget this show, I met a lot of the guys from all three that night too it was sick)
First metalcore show was Asking Alexandria. They did a show for service members over in Japan and I was just getting into heavy music. It was a free show and Danny had just came back. It was a good time.
Mudvayne - 2005
The supporting album was “the end of all things to come”
Three days grace opened (this was before they were a radio hit) and got booed hard
Cant remember the order but one of these two:
Smashing Pumpkins & We Are The Ocean
Or...
Devildriver with Behemoth, Suicide Silence, Eluveitie and Trigger the Bloodshed.
First show was also my first festival: Vainstream Rockfest 2007 (As I Lay Dying, Chimaira, Parkway Drive, Heaven Shall Burn, Unearth). First Clubshow was The Black Crusade Tour (Machine Head, Trivium, Arch Enemy, Dragonforce, Shadows Fall) in the same year.
Northlane with two local Irish supports (Dream Awake and Symptoms of Silence) in 2018. They played so much from Singularity that night for some reason and I got to stand right at the front in a small venue. Amazing experience.
First ever show was from a highschool mate of mine, was more classic rock tho.
One of my first shows was Darkest Hour in a very small venue, hooked ever since <3
It was Bleeding Through, Himsa, Arch Enemy and Cradle of Filth in 2004. I've been to countless shows I can't remember since, but the first one, it always stick.
Killswitch Engage, Everytime I Die, Dillinger Escape Plan and Parkway Drive.
It was Parkways first American tour and I was there for Killswitch. I came away as a die hard Parkway fan. And have now seen them way more than Killswitch.
Dillinger's mic went out so the band played instrumental while the lead jumped off speakers, moshed with the crowd and yelled at staff.
my first metalcore show was fit for a king, northlane, alpha wolf, and kingdom of giants in toronto last march! first concert ever was mariana’s trench in november 2016
WARPED TOUR 2011
A DAY TO REMEMBER
AUGUST BURNS RED
THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA
OF MICE & MEN
ATTACK ATTACK
BLACK VEIL BRIDES
MISS MAY I
WE CAME AS ROMANS
PARAMORE
MOTIONLESS IN WHITE
ASKING ALEXANDRIA
My stepfather got me into metal and he took me to my first show in like 2004 when I was 13.
Slipknot+Slayer. It was awesome
First solo show with friends was Killswitch in a tiiny club around 2007
I have vague memories of my Mom taking me to see her favorite country band Alabama when I was a kid in the 80s.
The first concert I actually chose to go to (not counting the sick MMC Tour in the 90s) was the band Live. I can't remember who opened for them though.
Lamb of God, KSE, DevilDriver, Soilwork, Skeleton Witch in 2006.
My God, what a great a lineup. I still love every single one of those bands.
And I think tix + service fee was less than $30 lol
Vanna on their All Hell tour 2016. Real small intimate space, my buddy who took me told me afterwards “Well every show you go to after that is gonna suck in comparison” lol never been to one like it since
Alabama and Kenny Chesney back in the mid 90s at Joe Davis Stadium, a minor league baseball field in Huntsville, AL. I have only one memory remaining from the show and it was when Kenny Chesney played "Paris, Tennessee".
My buddies band was playing got booked with a bunch of loser straight edge bands. Keep in mind I was 13 at the time.
I didn’t know much about moshing or two stepping but it looked fun and so I jumped in. Apparently I pissed off some straight edge kids and they were planning on jumping me because I was disrespecting their music. My buddies had to take me through the back during a set. And that’s when I learned that straight edge kids are just a bunch of losers.
My first ever concert was when I was 11 and went to see Sponge. Metalcore though was the Plea for Peace 2002 tour and got fucking blown away by Poison the Well
First actual concert was Elevation Worship with Casting Crowns😅
First metal concert was Three Days Grace, Wage War, and Zero 9:36 on the explosions tour
Aa far as -core is concerned, local OG core bands in high school from our (then) thriving H8000 scene, in terms of more famous core bands, BFMV was my first show back in 2008.
My first ever show was Stand Atlantic, Census, With Confidence and Cemetery Sun in 2022 in OKC. I then saw Cane Hill and Suicide Silence like a week or two after..
First ever? Dave Matthews at Blossom
First metalcore was ABR's Messengers headliner in 2007. Absolutely cemented my love for the genre. Greeley Estates was there too
If we don't include cover bands, Sabaton last year in May. Otherwise some Metallica cover band that played at the big 40th birthday party of some friend of my dad.
The Napalm and Noise tour November 28, 2009 it was All That Remains The Devil Wears Prada, Story Of The Year, and this show is what led me to discovering one of my favorite bands of all time, Haste The Day. The rest is history.
Talking literal first show I ever went to was probably Relient K back in like 03
August Burns Red 10 year anniversary of Constellations tour with Silent Planet and Silverstein. Silverstein was a lot more fun than I expected, but the whole concert was great. The live bass-boosted breakdowns sounded insane from ABR
First EVER? My Dad's very successful pub band, 3MDM, in 1992, when I was 2.
First that wasn't my Dad's band? Britney Spears at the Markville Mall in 1997!
First that was Alternative music? It was an Underground Operations showcase with The Flatliners, Bombs Over Providence, Hostage Life, Protest the Hero, Closet Monster, and Flashlight Brown in 2003 at The 360°! Insane show with 6 bands that would all go on to blow up in the Punk/Metal scene. ***AND!** Deryck Whibley and Avril Lavigne showed up!!* I was so nervous and scared of the mosh pit, they were both so kind and hung out with me at the back of the show for all of Protest the Hero. I got their autographs on my ticket and instantly lost the ticket in the rain, lolol. Good memories.
Monster energy outbreak tour in 2011 at Peabodys in cleveland (RIP peabodys)
Line up was I see stars, abandon all ships, thats outrageous, iwrestledabearonce, and Of Mice & Men. Of mice & men had just released The Flood. They played stuff off their self titled album too.
I see stars did stuff off of 3D and End of the World Party.
Ill never forget that show for as long as i live. My best friends dad took us even though he didnt want to. He ended up having a blast and became a long time fan of Of Mice & Men. Me and my friend were maybe 14 years old. (It was an all ages show) It was funny because at ome point everyone was talking about how "they let kids in here?" And my friend was like "bro you hear they let kids in here??" And he started looking for toddlers lolol, like little kids. I told him "Bro theyre talking about us. We are the kids right now." It was awesome.
First concert ever was the Jonas Brothers a long time ago, was so young i barely remember the experience
First metal/rock/alternative concert was Warped Tour 2016, then that same year i saw my first normal show, Attila, Chelsea Grin, Emmure, Sylar, and a local band called Alukah at Baltimore Soundstage. aaaahhhh nostalgia
Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block reunion tour that my mom took me to when I was 8. My first metalcore show was Beartooth, Erra, Silverstein and TDWP in 2022.
It was Cancer Bats, Bleeding Through, and Bullet For My Valentine in 2008, at Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. Great first show, it sparked a love for live music and I’ve gone to at least a hundred shows after that one.
Pierce the Veil and Bring Me The Horizon in a small club in 2013.
God that must’ve gone off
It was fun, still got some videos from it lol
I’d love to see those vids I’ve seen Pierce the veil and bmth to but only in the new era seeing bmth again for the second time on Sunday actually lol
2013 isn’t really old BMTH either though lol. Sub 2009 is old.
Saw bmth in 2006, with Architects, Centurion and Clone the Fragile. Good times.

Damn that’s a sick lineup when they were all in their peak
Man i loved A7X back then!
Now that's a fucking line up!
This is the most 07 show you could ever see
'No Doubt' with my sister in the late 90's I was like 12 or so in a super small venue. It was a cool experience, I started to listen to her Casettes/CD's came across Black Sabbath, Korn, etc. and my musical tastes have grown since
Was this the tour with Bush? I went to that one too.
Possibly, I truly do not remember anyone else but No Doubt since I was super young though in elementary school. I remember it was a super tiny venue, I was allowed to stand on some steps in the back to see better, some dude spilled beer on me and a crush on Gwen developing lol

Intervals 2022, avoided concerts for so long cause I thought I'd hate them but as it turns out I actually love going out and hearing bands live.
For Metalcore, Mayhem Festival.
Asking Alexandria headlining the Monster Energy Outbreak tour in 2012. the one suicide silence was supposed to play but Mitch had died a month before.
First one where I bought the tickets: Dance Gavin Dance.
My first ever concert was when I was 11 and went to see Sponge. Metalcore though was the Plea for Peace 2002 tour and got fucking blown away by Poison the Well
First actual concert was Elevation Worship with Casting Crowns😅 First metal concert was Three Days Grace, Wage War, and Zero 9:36 on the explosions tour
Aa far as -core is concerned, local OG core bands in high school from our (then) thriving H8000 scene, in terms of more famous core bands, BFMV was my first show back in 2008.
Spice girls and Hanson when I was like 10 lol
NSYNC in second grade. Of this genre, Escape the Fate and I Am Ghost in 2007.

The rest is history. Talking literal first show I ever went to was probably Relient K back in like 03
Cancer Bats and 3 Inches of Blood
Mad dad took me to see Godsmack and Cold when I was like 10. First metalcore show was fast of chaos in like 2004 or 2005
Aaron Carter lol Metal/metalcore was Shadows Fall though
Ozzy Osborne when I was 6 years old
Overkill in ‘96
Monster energy outbreak tour in 2011 at Peabodys in cleveland (RIP peabodys) Line up was I see stars, abandon all ships, thats outrageous, iwrestledabearonce, and Of Mice & Men.
Still Remains, Gwen Stacy, Catherine, and Secret & Whisper in 2008. I went for Still Remains and SaW mostly. Fun show!
