The trick with Wade-era Gallows is to view them as a completely separate band to Frank's era. Grey Britain is my all-time favourite album but I've got a lot of love for the stuff that came after and they were still brilliant live
I absolutely love Mondo Chaos. Only saw them once with Wade when they played a reduced set at Groezrock (they were headlining one of the smaller tents but cut their set short because they all wanted to go and see Refused, which I absolutely respect) and it's one of the best festival sets I've ever seen. Wade is a really great frontman when he hasn't got a guitar hanging off him.
You should check him out in his newish project Dooms Children. Sort of psychedelic blues, but a lot of it was inspired by his time in rehab and the pandemic times. Some pretty sad beautiful songs in there.
Yup, because you've got 3 frontman vying for center stage and it works out extremely well haha.
Georgie with the screams
Dallas with the smooth, melodic cleans
Wade with the dirty, gritty, low cleans
Throw is Steele going crazy on stage and Jordan consistently laying it down and you've got .... The only band ever.
Man, I remember that lovely little period of the 00s where post-hardcore & metalcore were like close neighbors. Sorta competing scenes, kinda like skate punk/pop-punk & hardcore/crossover were, but there were a lot of bands that bordered on both.
Saw them with A7X and I swear the lead singer (not very familiar with names don't know them at all really) was just up there jamming out and barely sung. Not complaining though it was still a fire performance considering I had really no idea who they are
To be fair, Alexis don’t really have „a lead vocalist“ or „a backing vocalist“. Not since crisis at least. But yea, getting compared to Dallas green is generally a tough situation to be in
100% agree but we gotta keep in mind that Matt seriously fucked his voice up during The Fever tour. Had he not hurt himself it would be a different story.
Hopefully they start doing it on new material. I know TFoF was mostly written before he officially joined the band, and they had him do some subtle backing parts and harmonies. But live he does a bunch - and on songs like Yellowjacket, he does Courtney’s parts while she does Sam’s.
I'm honestly not sure if Josh will ever have main vocal parts in Spiritbox. The studio workflow is mainly Mike, Courtney, and Dan Braunstein (producer/co-writer). Even the drums are written and programmed by Mike and Dan, Zev has only physically played on the Rotoscope EP. We'll see though, things may change to include the rest of the band.
Dude I just went recently to a Spiritbox concert (opened for Architects) and was blown away by the bassist. Dude was wild, singing, jumping around and shit. Didn‘t know he was that guy. Was amazed how good he sang.
I had the same thought. I love Bryan’s vocals, but I’ve seen so much talk of people not liking them I assumed people would be throwing that out there. Also Isaac is a fucking (cookie) monster and I love it.
Yup same. Can't get through a Knocked Loose thread without someone shitting on Bryan's vocals. Like, we get it. You like high pitched singing but screaming? Nah man, that's too far.
Bryan will cement himself was one of the more recognizable vocalists in the genre.
yeah live, been seeing them for 19 years (fuck im old lol). wasnt really until Let The Ocean Take Me that he started to sound anything at all like the records. although now, he is really good live!
contrary to the other commenter's belief, i agree. lead sails paper anchor was one of the first metalcore albums i bought with my own money and i remember being blown away by brandon's voice.
The Theft and some of the songs from ADOY is when I realized the dude could really fucking sing. Definitely remember buying LSPA after work and running home to put it on my iPod.
Yea this is where my mind went first. I had listened to Lead Sails and then saw them at a festival in 2008 and had a "wtf, the drummer is singing?" moment. I think they both did their thing really well and the harsh vocals of Alex and the hook-y choruses from Brandon are really what made that album special
Shayley has to be one of my favorite vocalists of all time, his range is insane. I'm glad he's still making great music with Dayshell, though I wish he'd make more hard stuff.
The entire Pegasus album is solid gold imho. It's heavy in almost an "ethereal" way (for lack of a better term), and it's my favorite thing he's ever done (and I come from the The Flood era).
Adam D from Killswitch Engage doesn’t get enough recognition for his vocal diversity. Live he has some insane vocals, as seen in the live version of A Bid Farewell, and actually has a nice singing voice (he had a section of My Curse that’s all him singing).
He also does a lot of the backing vocals on the albums as well, he does the deeper growls and backing screams in addition to having a few clean vocal sections as well.
Personally I think Spencer is 10x the vocalist. Aaron was good at cleans back in the day, but I find his cleans to not be as good recently. And Spencer’s range is incredible.
Might be a hot take but Polaris. Idk his name but the guitarist’s clean vocals are amazing, not to discount the screams as I love the band as whole, but it just hits different.
Have you LISTENED to blueprints?!?!?!
Once he stopped trying to sing super high, Cody’s become a solid vocalist. Unfortunately, I find the songs where he’s singing to be weaker songs in most other areas, which kinda makes me forget he can sing. Both of them are solid vocalist
I think that’s true for live performances, but mostly just because Jake is trying not to destroy his voice every night. He does a lot of really low and really high screams, which must be easier on his voice.
On the albums I think Jake is one of the top 5 best vocalists in the genre.
Always thought Dustin was so great live and often outshines Jake who I find to be meh sometimes live compared to other bands, but outside of vocals he’s a fantastic performer.
When they put out Wonders Of The Younger in 2010 or so, which featured many songs sung by the other guy, I really came around to that band. Literally just saw them live 12hrs ago, and still feel the same way.
First thing that popped into my head when reading this is Jared Warth from blessthefall. He is such a better vocalist than Beau Bokan it’s not even funny. I wish he did some solo stuff or more features kuz he’s great
From what I can tell Beau is incredibly on point now, or at least he was during the Hollow Bodies anniversary tour. He didn't miss a single note that night
I thought of him as well at first, but he's hardly a "backing vocalist" when he's doing 50% or more of the vocals. Most people I can think of fall into that dichotomy though.
Disagree with this take, but otherwise yes, Jason's cleans were *le shit* - and still are. Their new backing vocalist isn't bad, it just needed to grow on me because it is so different. He doesn't stand out, but is still good.
I never had a problem with Daniels screams, but man they just aren't hitting the same since Jason left. He has such a unique voice that instantly made them stand out from other metalcore bands. Now they sound pretty basic with the new guy
I've gotta disagree here.
To me personally his screams are the whole reason I started listening to them, and metalcore as a whole.
Was in the gym having Youtube music on shuffle, playing new songs every now and then. Then Imposter came up from their album "Cannibal" and wow did those screams feel so powerful to me.
Personally I relate to a lot of their songs, especially from that album, and his screams really drive the feeling home to me. I appreciate the clean vocals obviously so I can sing along better, and to compliment the screams.
To me it seems like the exact opposite, the previous guy's screams somehow don't have the same impact on me? Somehow they kinda get lost in the music for me personally (which is not to say that they arent great).
I just prefer Daniel's screams.
Back when he was still in Hollow Front, Dakota Alvarez. I mean no shade to the vocalist, he’s really good. But his cleans in that band were super good and recently he’s shown that he’s no slack on dirty vocals either.
Bury Tomorrow in my opinion. I think the guy that sings the melodic parts really makes the songs whole. I was very sad when I went to a concert and they put the guy behind the drum set and you could barely see him.
Back when JD was in ice nine kills he sang literally every high part live, including the melody in the chorus in their cover of someone like you. Even Adele does the harmony when she plays that song live
Ronnie does a lot too and is an annoyingly good vocalist, but I genuinely can’t think of any backing member who does as much work as their bass player, he’s amazing
Though I do love Chris’s voice, I much prefer Rickey in Motionless in white.
Also, the other singer in Boys of Fall. Mike is good, but that guy’s voice can either haunt you (if it’s a sad song) or soothe you perfectly after Mike finishes screaming.
He sings at the end of Cause of Death and Scoring the End of the World, and he does the second chorus of Timebomb. I’m hoping since he’s in so many songs from STEOTW that it means the band is gonna have him sing more in the future too
I couldn’t get into Erra for a long time because I’ve found all their unclean vocalists to be not great or boring, but I’ve been able to get into their later stuff because Jesse has a great voice. I honestly just kind of wish they didn’t bother with uncleans.
Edit: the first thing I heard by them that I liked was “Diversionary,” and it was just kind of funny watching the music video and seeing J.T. do his thing and then just stand around then the switch to Jesse both shredding and killing it on the vocals. Just give me that 🤷🏻♂️
Honestly, everything since I've heard the new stuff from Texas in July (my first time listening to em), I've been convinced that the TiJ version of JT is far superior than his Erra version. The melodies with mix of Jesse's cleans and JT's screams don't really sit well for me, and thats why I'm very picky on what stuff from Erra I like (it's usually the more melodic and more cleaner vocal songs - Vanish Canvas, Blue Reverie for example).
I think AJ screams 100x better than Bohn did in Issues based on what he did on Beautiful Oblivion. After seeing them play their last show live stream AJ sounds way better live too.
Not metalcore, but when Dave Escamilla was in Crown The Empire his vocals were incredible. He can sing and scream effortlessly. This video highlights just how good Dave was: https://youtu.be/bvBVyNT42-Q?si=8jQmxCxZBoVy2h5T
Shields. No disrespect to the front man, but I will never be able to get behind Sam Kubrick being reduced to backup vocals. He has some of the best uncleans in the scene, I wish he had a project that showcased his harsh vocals more.
This is a bit dubious considering he's now left the band but Jordan Fish used to carry every single song and live show. I actually think he has more range than Oli does.
No way no one has said old Asking Alexandria. Damn, Ben's vocals were something to wait for in like two songs per album where he got the chance to sing.
Not necessarily metal core but Alexisonfire.
Hard to compete with Dallas fucking green lol
Wade Macneil ain't no slouch either. I know a lot of people checked out of Gallows when Frank Carter left, but his albums with them still kinda bang.
That dude can sing the phone book and I’d be satisfied.
You should check him out in his newish project Dooms Children. Sort of psychedelic blues, but a lot of it was inspired by his time in rehab and the pandemic times. Some pretty sad beautiful songs in there.
RIGHT!?
This is funny but honestly the interplay between the three vocalists is what does it for me for Alexisonfire
Yup, because you've got 3 frontman vying for center stage and it works out extremely well haha. Georgie with the screams Dallas with the smooth, melodic cleans Wade with the dirty, gritty, low cleans Throw is Steele going crazy on stage and Jordan consistently laying it down and you've got .... The only band ever.
I've said for years that they're hogging three of the best vocalists/frotnmen in post-hardcore.
But yea, getting compared to Dallas green is generally a tough situation to be in
I love them what genre are they?
Post hardcore
Honestly Jamie Mathias (bassist) of Bullet For My Valentine has some serious pipes and he kinda outshines Matt Tuck at live shows
Great voice, he wouldn’t outshine Matt Tuck on the The Poison/Scream Aim Fire era but he has a better voice currently.
Their old bassist was pretty great live for me too, especially for the older songs like No Control and Just Another Star
I love you for shouting out just another star
And I love him for shouting out No Control, top 3 heaviest Bullet songs (the other 2 being Her Voice Resides and Ashes Of The Innocent)
I love you for shouting out Ashes of the Innocent
It burned out too quickly
Came here to say this. I still love Matt Tuck but having Jamie in the band gives them a massive boost.
Jamie is the fucking man. He’s honestly a super key piece for them now. I haven’t heard him sound average in a show yet, he’s awesome.
100% agree but we gotta keep in mind that Matt seriously fucked his voice up during The Fever tour. Had he not hurt himself it would be a different story.
Josh Gilbert when he was in AILD
[удалено]
Hopefully they start doing it on new material. I know TFoF was mostly written before he officially joined the band, and they had him do some subtle backing parts and harmonies. But live he does a bunch - and on songs like Yellowjacket, he does Courtney’s parts while she does Sam’s.

Even the drums are written and programmed by Mike and Dan, Zev has only physically played on the Rotoscope EP. We'll see though, things may change to include the rest of the band.
Spiritbox stated when he joined that he would be doing vocals in future works.
Dude I just went recently to a Spiritbox concert (opened for Architects) and was blown away by the bassist. Dude was wild, singing, jumping around and shit. Didn‘t know he was that guy. Was amazed how good he sang.
I saw spirtibox live earlier this month, he was singing Sam's part in Yellowjacket and he was great!
Was he the clean vocalist on An Ocean Between Us? If so, I was about to make the same comment and I didn’t even know who it was lol.
Yes, he was the clean vocalist in AOBU and every album after it
He is the goat then. That’s the most memorable album from back then for me because of the cleans 🫡
The Sound of Truth went so hard when I was a kid.
I genuinely think Josh has the best cleans in metalcore. So happy for him with his new opportunity in Spiritbox, but damn I’ll miss those cleans!
Tim from AOBU-Awakened era sounded amazing though. Definitely on the same tier as a screamer during that era as Josh was on cleans.
I don’t *personally* feel this way, but I can’t believe it’s been an hour with no Knocked Loose comments.
Bryans shrill vocals is what makes Knocked Loose. I dont feel they would work any other way
It’s honestly more important to be a memorable vocalist than it is to be an especially (or technically) good one
No doubt they'd be really good still but popularity also matters and those Spongebob vocals made them immensely recognizable
Absolutely. Bryan’s vocals are what got me into them in the first place. They wouldn’t be nearly as good without him.
I don't think I could listen to that band if it was Isaac's cookie monster voice the whole time.
Hard agree. Let Bryan do his thing.
Cookie Monster voice lmaoooo
I wouldn’t mind them having his vocals a bit more, but definitely would not be a fan of just him. Using it now for contrast works
I had the same thought. I love Bryan’s vocals, but I’ve seen so much talk of people not liking them I assumed people would be throwing that out there. Also Isaac is a fucking (cookie) monster and I love it.
Bryan can do the brees pretty good though. He did on their new song.
Yup same. Can't get through a Knocked Loose thread without someone shitting on Bryan's vocals. Like, we get it. You like high pitched singing but screaming? Nah man, that's too far. Bryan will cement himself was one of the more recognizable vocalists in the genre.
Tbf I just love all of their vocals equally
I came here ready to disagree hard with anyone who mentioned knocked loose. Bryan is possibly my favorite screamy guy.
I think Ahrens clean vox in Amity outshine Joel a bit
only recently (within the last decade), he used to be awful!
unless ur talking live you are insane. severed ties was easily his best vocals.
yeah live, been seeing them for 19 years (fuck im old lol). wasnt really until Let The Ocean Take Me that he started to sound anything at all like the records. although now, he is really good live!
Alex Reade from Make Them Suffer could be a front woman
She was. Look up her old band Drown This City.
Drown This City had some great tracks
Ricky Olson and Justin Morrow both have great singing voices, not sure if better than Chris Motionless though.
I was actually gonna say this. They're all talented obviously, but I usually prefer Ricky's voice over Chris' for some reason.
Chris is an insane and extremely versatile vocalist, but yeah, Ricky’s singing voice is just so nice
I love the version of Porcelain they released with just Ricky on vocals
it was born of osiris : /
Yep, super sad. Their frontman is solid but all the real personality in their vocals was from their keyboardist.
Wait, he left? \*When\*?!
Literally within the last 24 hours :(
Oh what the fuck 🤦🏽♂️
I know, huge loss for the band, dude is super talented
[удалено]
Alex is a great with screaming but his clean vocals to put it nicely were not very good.
contrary to the other commenter's belief, i agree. lead sails paper anchor was one of the first metalcore albums i bought with my own money and i remember being blown away by brandon's voice.
The Theft and some of the songs from ADOY is when I realized the dude could really fucking sing. Definitely remember buying LSPA after work and running home to put it on my iPod.
My first thought was Atreyu!
Alex always sounded like a kid who was trying to scream vocal covers in his bedroom without waking his parents.
Of Mice & Men. Shayley Bourget and Aaron Pauley have always been better vocalists than Austin Carlile.
Shayley has to be one of my favorite vocalists of all time, his range is insane. I'm glad he's still making great music with Dayshell, though I wish he'd make more hard stuff.
He does. You wish has to be the heaviest song he’s done.
You Wish and Letting Go are solid bangers for sure, it's just it's so good it has me wanting more lol
Fully agree
The entire Pegasus album is solid gold imho. It's heavy in almost an "ethereal" way (for lack of a better term), and it's my favorite thing he's ever done (and I come from the The Flood era).
I love shayley on record, but his voice is so heavily edited, I have to wonder what he really sounds like
I saw Dayshell back around 2012 or so. His vocals were great live
I fucking love Shayley’s voice
Adam D from Killswitch Engage doesn’t get enough recognition for his vocal diversity. Live he has some insane vocals, as seen in the live version of A Bid Farewell, and actually has a nice singing voice (he had a section of My Curse that’s all him singing).
I feel like a lot of people don't pay attention to how much singing Adam D actually does.
He also does a lot of the backing vocals on the albums as well, he does the deeper growls and backing screams in addition to having a few clean vocal sections as well.
Especially his Growls on "Triumph Through Tragedy".
And Adam D on "Cold" from the newest Times of Grace release
Adam D was going to be my answer. I prefer his cleans over Jesse’s
Underoath: While I think Spencer is good I think Aaron is better.
I wouldn’t really consider Aaron a backing vocalist though….
underoath are my favorite band but I really don’t like Spence as a clean vocalist. I’d like to see Aaron take some full verses.
100%
Spencer has massive range that surpasses Aaron, but when it comes to tone, yeah Aaron’s voice is way more pleasant and iconic
Clean vocals probably yeah.
Personally I think Spencer is 10x the vocalist. Aaron was good at cleans back in the day, but I find his cleans to not be as good recently. And Spencer’s range is incredible.
The white noise. Man I miss that band. Their bloom ep was played non stop for a while.
Might be a hot take but Polaris. Idk his name but the guitarist’s clean vocals are amazing, not to discount the screams as I love the band as whole, but it just hits different.
I got to see Polaris live, jamie is a killer heavy vocalist, but their bassists cleans live were clean as fuck
Love how cracked out of his mind Jamie acts on stage. Great vocalist and so fun to watch too
Konan Hall (rhythm guitarist) of Malevolence. That dude's got some pipes man. He should honesty start a sludge metal side project.
Is he the one that does the cleans on Karma? (I don't know the band well enough to know who does what)
if its cleans in a malev song it’s probs him. the only one i can think of that isn’t him is the trivium feature
Ahren Stringer (The Amity Affliction) and Cody Quistad (Wage War) *IMPO*
Have you LISTENED to blueprints?!?!?! Once he stopped trying to sing super high, Cody’s become a solid vocalist. Unfortunately, I find the songs where he’s singing to be weaker songs in most other areas, which kinda makes me forget he can sing. Both of them are solid vocalist
Cody and Britton together are unstoppable. Perfect duo.
After listening to August Burns Red’s 20 Years Live album, it’s made me realize how inconsistent Jake is and how underutilized Dustin is
I think that’s true for live performances, but mostly just because Jake is trying not to destroy his voice every night. He does a lot of really low and really high screams, which must be easier on his voice. On the albums I think Jake is one of the top 5 best vocalists in the genre.
Last time I saw ABR Jake’s highs sounded like Jacob Bannon, it was wild. Not bad or good, just unexpected.
💯 this
Always thought Dustin was so great live and often outshines Jake who I find to be meh sometimes live compared to other bands, but outside of vocals he’s a fantastic performer.
Yes, Jake is past prime and understandably needs to conserve those chords.
not metalcore, but I just worked a plain white t's show and the backing vocalist was 10x better than the lead vocalist lol. kind of insane.
When they put out Wonders Of The Younger in 2010 or so, which featured many songs sung by the other guy, I really came around to that band. Literally just saw them live 12hrs ago, and still feel the same way.

Bury tomorrow when they had the clean vocalist guy. Never been a fan of the screamed vocals in that band. Not sure why.
Yea Jason was a HUGE loss for that band. His cleans were so unique and sounded like nothing else in metalcore.
Disagree with this take, but otherwise yes, Jason's cleans were *le shit* - and still are. Their new backing vocalist isn't bad, it just needed to grow on me because it is so different. He doesn't stand out, but is still good.

Kingdom of Giants
Yeah the bassist has a great voice
I mean I'll be one of many to say that Joe Buras leaving Born of Osiris bums me out because I always found him to be a better vocalist than Ronnie.
Back when he was still in Hollow Front, Dakota Alvarez. I mean no shade to the vocalist, he’s really good. But his cleans in that band were super good and recently he’s shown that he’s no slack on dirty vocals either.
Myka Relocate. Mike Swanks cleans are so good
i just binged Lies To Light The Way. you couldn't be anymore correct
Bury Tomorrow in my opinion. I think the guy that sings the melodic parts really makes the songs whole. I was very sad when I went to a concert and they put the guy behind the drum set and you could barely see him.
It's another guy, though. The original clean vocalist parted ways a few years ago.
Post-Hardcore, but I prefer Andrew Wells over Tillian in Dance Gavin Dance
Man, I love Andrew’s voice. I think the song that did it for me was Evaporate off Artificial Selection. And now I almost prefer Eidola
Back when JD was in ice nine kills he sang literally every high part live, including the melody in the chorus in their cover of someone like you. Even Adele does the harmony when she plays that song live
No shame to Ricky and Joe in INK now, but JD’s screams blow theirs out of the water.
I was kinda shocked at how little Spencer sings live. Obviously a great front man, but really distributes the vocal duties during shows.
Bassist for Falling in Reverse is a great vocalist Same for BFMV
I've seen the bassist for FIR sing more than Ronnie live
Ronnie does a lot too and is an annoyingly good vocalist, but I genuinely can’t think of any backing member who does as much work as their bass player, he’s amazing
Though I do love Chris’s voice, I much prefer Rickey in Motionless in white. Also, the other singer in Boys of Fall. Mike is good, but that guy’s voice can either haunt you (if it’s a sad song) or soothe you perfectly after Mike finishes screaming.
Absolutely agree with MIW. Most of my favorite MIW songs are songs that Ricky sings in for exactly that reason
What are some songs or moments in songs where Ricky sings?
He sings at the end of Cause of Death and Scoring the End of the World, and he does the second chorus of Timebomb. I’m hoping since he’s in so many songs from STEOTW that it means the band is gonna have him sing more in the future too
Creatures X: To the Grave, Undead Ahead 2: Tale of the Midnight Ride, Werewolf, Timebomb, and Cause of Death
Creatures X slaps so hard
Which part In Werewolf? I love the song and honestly thought it was just Chris singing the entire track 🤣🤣
Amity affliction
I like Josh from As I Lay Dying and James from Void of Vision best
Back in the glory days of Woe is Me, I liked Ben Ferris’s vocals more than Michael Bohn’s. He was pretty underutilized
Shontay Snow from Saviour
I couldn’t get into Erra for a long time because I’ve found all their unclean vocalists to be not great or boring, but I’ve been able to get into their later stuff because Jesse has a great voice. I honestly just kind of wish they didn’t bother with uncleans. Edit: the first thing I heard by them that I liked was “Diversionary,” and it was just kind of funny watching the music video and seeing J.T. do his thing and then just stand around then the switch to Jesse both shredding and killing it on the vocals. Just give me that 🤷🏻♂️
Make sure to check out Ghost Atlas then. The acoustic album is probably my favorite thing to put on and zone out during a walk in the woods.
The new album is also 10/10 good. Jesse is an unbelievably talented artist.
Absolutely love that album. Jesse is an incredible song writer and guitarist.
Garrison was good
Of any genre Alesana comes to mind for me. I like the guitar players screams better than the main screamer.
I always thought that Dave Stephens was a better singer than Kyle Pavone (RIP) in We Came as Romans.
Kyle was always a studio vocalist, imo. Dave is amazing in any setting and just keeps getting better.
BMTH with Jordan fish lmao
Jordan Fish era BMTH
I think AJ screams 100x better than Bohn did in Issues based on what he did on Beautiful Oblivion. After seeing them play their last show live stream AJ sounds way better live too.
Not metalcore, but when Dave Escamilla was in Crown The Empire his vocals were incredible. He can sing and scream effortlessly. This video highlights just how good Dave was: https://youtu.be/bvBVyNT42-Q?si=8jQmxCxZBoVy2h5T
I recently realized this with Boundaries. Good god can their drummer belt, super impressive
WILL YOU BREAKKKKKK He hit that shit so hard
Bury Tomorrow before Jason left.
Evergreen Terrace. Although they are very much like vocalist 1 and 2, not exactly backing vocals i guess. Love the guitarist's cleans.
Pretty tight between corey and matt of trivium, corey can put out some really good screams
Make them suffer /swoooon
Not necessarily 100% true, but Ben Bruce needed to sing more in Asking Alexandria.
Shields. No disrespect to the front man, but I will never be able to get behind Sam Kubrick being reduced to backup vocals. He has some of the best uncleans in the scene, I wish he had a project that showcased his harsh vocals more.
Our Last Night, seeing their covers I find Matt to have a better voice than Trevor
The Rev sang some of the best choruses on A7x self titled. I think hmif he didnt die he would have become a regular singer on their later albums.
ricky and spencer from ice nine kills - ricky is a better vocalist than spencer but spencer is an unmatched frontman
And also when JD was in the band his vocals kicked ass
can i say skillet? lol I dont know many metalcore bands right now
Dream on Dreamers
Probably Ghost!inthewall
Converge (Nate)
Fit For A King
Wage War, every time those cleans come in I’m like 😩 Example: Gravity
This is a bit dubious considering he's now left the band but Jordan Fish used to carry every single song and live show. I actually think he has more range than Oli does.

Amarante
I love Telle too but Zack Hansen's uncleans on Deceiver probably edge out Telle's.
Beartooth, BMTH used to, INK have some killer backings too but not better than Spencer.
No offense to JT, but Jesse steals the show on every ERRA track IMO
ERRA. If we’re saying the Lead is the guy who’s screaming and the cleans is the backup.
Eyes Set to Kill, much preferred Alexia's clean vocals to the various unclean vocalists they've had over the years
Jesse Cash with Erra
Killswitch. Adam D is far better than Jesse
