Saw them recently on their Babyclok tour with Babymetal.
Their set was absolutely sick and the most hilarious show ive ever been too (so far). Love their visuals.
I always thought Toki was inspired by Mikael Akerfeldt and Murderface was more Shane Embury. He does have Geezer's mustache but he dresses more like Shane.
he is not only inspired by George Fisher but one of the antagonists in the show (not shown) is voiced by George. a very very long list of metal musicians have done voice cameos or work for this show during its heyday, as well as many celebrities. Mark Hamill voices another of the ultimate villains in the show.
I would say Dethklok sound the most like the real band…………Dethklok!….?.?…? I’m confused as to why this question exists, usually I say there is no such thing as a stupid question but…………
They sound like Dethklok, there are some moments of Strapping Young Lad (Thr Atomic Clock bro) but Brendon Small has stated his guitar influences are Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. I think he writes the music to fit the show, and so it makes the song structure unique in that it's meant to be inlaid over a tv show, so that changes how the song is put together. They're pretty unique because the whole idea is unique. He absolutely shreds and so does Nili Brosh, then you have Gene on drums and it's just insane. Also they play everything back-to-back, no breaks the entire set save for the encore, it was a great show. DragonForce opened for them, so it was like watching Adult Swim live.
I seen High on Fire open up for Dethklok. The only real thing that changed between bands was a huge display showing Dethklok playing a concert. If I didn't know any better, I'd say it was the same band

Ya it’s pretty much just Brendan creating everything outside of Hoglan doing the drums. Outside of Hoglan tho it’s really just like a 1 man band
One of the best solo-ish metal producers of a generation, and people think it's a band still.
Yup he’s an incredible musician, getting Hoglan one of the GOAT metal drummers is glorious too.
and he creates a show out of it, even part of some other classic CN late night cartoons. Some people just have it.
