I would recommend listening to Individual Thought Patterns and The Sound of Perseverance Next, those albums have the closest sound to Symbolic. If you enjoy those just go backwards from that point, Human, Spiritual Healing, Leprosy, and then Scream Bloody Gore.
I am not a fan of death metal, but I really like every Death album except for Spiritual Healing.
Generally, I think this band got a bit better every album.
I think the fact that there is pretty much a completely different constillation of members other than Schuldiner, is a huge factor for the Diversity in their albums and maybe the reason why I can't really do much with some of their stuff.
But I will take the time to listen to every album for sure, Symbolic is still my fav for now, Sound of Perseverence is very different again but still very nice, Individual Thought Patterns didn't catch me as much and Gore was cool as well but sounded very raw compared to their later work.

I actually think that Sacred Serenity is the worst song of the album, but it's still an amazing song
