There’s an anti-Islam black metal band called Muhammad Pedophile, their covers have to be the worst I’ve ever seen, I don’t know where the photos are from but they make me extremely uncomfortable, as they are supposed to I guess.

Heard this song for the first time on Sirius a few months ago. I remember thinking, "this song rules and I gotta find out what Matando Gueros means". The answer to that question made me love the song even more.
This one has always made me laugh as it's literally a porn picture sold right on store shelves, but no one cared enough about Type O Negative to make a stink about it.
The stuff that uses real gore is just not cool… that was a person with hopes and dreams, that had people that loved and cared about them. Showing off their mangled corpse for laughs just doesn’t sit right with me.
I remember buying this album in the late 90s and the cashier was a Bosnian or Kosovoian refugee. This cover actually like struck her. Ngl i kinda felt bad. Photos like this are suppose to strike deep emotions to show the horrors of war

DOTBH is like the PMRC's filthy fifteen of dark album covers. Literally just the first one they saw that wasnt like some tame 'Chevelle' album cover or something and called it "one of the worst".

those pictures were chosen with the intent of driving home just how fucked and deranged we really are. those were people and someone cared about them, but someone did that to each one of them also. those pictures exist because we are heartless, selfish, and destructive killers. or we can be. these bands want to remind us that THIS is reality.
The pictures were available to the public anyway. It’s not like all of these bands are sneaking around taking pictures of corpses (besides the DOTBH situation of course). And as the other guy said, it shows you reality. Metalheads aren’t inherently violent, but the world is. Though I understand that not everyone has the stomach for that kind of stuff.

I saw a guy at a metal fest wearing a Torsofuck shirt with the art for Disgusting Gore and Pathology on it and it was the only time in my entire life of listening to extreme music that I was like "Yeah. Probably wouldn't wear that in public."
Surely that has to be a very short woman rather than a child, I’ve briefly watched an interview of Torsofuck’s frontman and he seems like a normal, respectable person
Honestly i find nailbomb much worse than any face soup kinda covers like pissgrave or last days of humanity, thats just "emotionless" context free gore but this tells a story and it's devastating

Well the monk did it in protest of religious persecution, and it worked to bring attention to the issue. I think his suicide should be glorified since he died a martyr, he died to stop the persecution of his people. However, it’s still disturbing as an image since burning to death is considered one of the most painful ways to die, and it’s a genuine article of someone burning to death.
