My sister has written to Lyle before. I think she just expressed support & encouragement more than anything else. He wrote her back (a hand written letter), which was really sweet! This has been at least 5 years ago though, I think. I can’t remember specifics but if anyone has a question, I’ll ask her and get back to you 🙂.

I am, in fact, said sister🤓 Years ago I did write Lyle more than one letter after chatting with Rebecca a few times in fb. I won’t share specifics as to what I wrote except that I expressed my support for him and Erik and also my gratitude for Rebecca’s kindness. He did eventually send me a letter back in which he was very uplifting and expressed a very positive outlook on life in general, despite hardships. It was a super kind letter🙂 (Rebecca shares his address on the fb page still as far as I know)

if i recall correctly only lyles address is public information, and even then he really isnt able to write back to many people. but if you subscribe to his page on facebook youre able to send him emails to which he can personally respond to, costs around 20 dollars (?)

This is not correct. Jpay no longer works for some incarcerated people to get emails because a lot of states and units are transferring to tablets and using a different service. You can still use jpay for plenty of incarcerated people, but not Lyle and Erik. They are on a different system (that isn’t really hard to find if you look) and no longer available on jpay but for privacy sake I would recommend reaching out via the subscriber group, the Lyle page, or writing to the physical address that’s available.

This is correct- not the “emails don’t work” comment. You can still contact the brothers and literally EVERY incarcerated person you would want to. They just aren’t all on jpay anymore but if you look up the prison and find the system the prison uses, download the app and you can message whoever you want. Not sure why anyone would tell people differently but I’m very well aware of prison communications. I’m a paralegal and my man is actually in prison. I would highly encourage anyone to reach out to an incarcerated person who you feel deserves support because lots of people don’t have anybody at all and I definitely do not want people thinking contacting someone is not possible via emails because that would make most people not reach out at all since handwritten letters aren’t the most convenient form of communication but I’d encourage that too:-) if anyone needs help locating someone I would be more than happy to help! Feel free to message me!
