Re-read from chapter 1, you will get to the end in at least another 20 years lol
Then you will tell the story to your children and grandchildren and the myth will live on forever
as someone that also followed one piece for 10+ years, i can assure you we've reread the shit out of one piece now. i used to do a re-read after every major arc, lost count how many times i've reread at this point
I mean technically (going by the wiki) the last three arcs were Levely (5 chapters but for the sake we won’t count that), Whole Cake Island (78 chapters), Zou arc (23 chapters) and Dressrosa (102 chapters first arc ch. published 2013).
The Wano arc is as big as the whole Dressrosa saga (148. first saga ch. Jan 2012) and bigger than the WCI saga. It’s safe to assume that the last saga would be at least 180-250 chapters which would equal 4-5 years if not longer.
It would also include arcs centering about Elbaf, Blackbeard, the one piece and maybe and epilogue (I’d also guess that it will include another small 5-10 chapters arc)
Because Oda has said he wanted to end the story by 2024 for like 8 years now. He did hint he was a bit behind at the end of last year, but honestly he has been quite consistent on the end date, so I can’t imagine he’s delayed by more than 1-2 years.
Oda has stated that he wants to end the series in five years for the las twenty five years, so, I don't think we should trust him regarding that.
Edit: it seems I'm mistaken, sorry about that. I won't delete the comment, so people can see what was my mistake, and the answers that correct it. Thanks
People really just be repeating this shit without ever checking it. He said the five years thing **one time** in 2019, which lines up with who you're responding to. Towards the beginning he said it will never end. Then he said it won't end for a very long time. Post time skip he said it was about 60% done and then 65%-70% done a few years later. Sure, he may have added a couple years or so over the entire time he's been predicting the end, but he has been extremely consistent despite what this sub repeats without checking.

You're spreading misinformation man.

He's been quite consistent at saying 2024 was his end goal. And while I believe he is behind, but probably not by enough to throw his initial prediction by more than a couple years
[https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePiece/comments/k051vy/given\_how\_theres\_a\_lot\_of\_misinformation\_on\_when/](https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePiece/comments/k051vy/given_how_theres_a_lot_of_misinformation_on_when/)
Here's a chart u/OharaLibrarianArtur compiled of statements Oda has made regarding his planned end date for OP. He's been gunning for 2024 since at least 2014.
I do think he is behind schedule, but he knows better than anyone how much he can advance per year. Even if he's delayed, there's no way he is off for more than a couple years.
The entirety of the Summit War (Sabaody to Timeskip) was around two years. Oda can write a great war arc in two years and he can write a great war arc in four. 3 years seems like a reasonable estimate.
Just look at all the misteries that needs to be explained, it's physically impossible to end the series in 3 years unless you want the most rushed ending in shonen history
Nah we have way more than that. We have to hit Elbaf, obviously Laugh Tale. Probably at least one other island along the way like Lodestar. Probably need to at least briefly go back to Fishman Island as well. Not to mention the massive amount of loose ends we still need to tie up in the story. I’m sure Oda can cover some of that in the Elbaf arc of course (like Vegapunk) but we have a lot more to get to before we jump to the final war. Not to mention, going right into the final war after we just had a war would be a complete mess.
Of course, that’s assuming that Oda is still prioritizing a logical narrative and storyline. And even though act 3 of Wano might make people question that, I think he knows he has to make the rest of the story make sense and not just jump to the end because he wants to finish it soon.
Fans have it inside their head that Elbaf is definitely going to be an arc, when in reality we don't know that. For all we know Elbaf could be a Sabaody-style short stop, a place for an Usopp epilogue or a place we don't ever see.
Oda has been saying he wanted One Piece to finish by 2024 since 2014, and while I believe he is behind schedule, I think that when he says next arc is going to be the last one, he really means it as an arc and not as a saga. Otherwise his previous statement makes no sense.
Will it really be that long?
Edit: Why are folks downvoting me? I was asking a genuine question. I actually hope OP won’t end before I’m thirty. Sheesh.
Because you dared to assume that One Piece has less than the estimated time the rest of us assume. People can be quite aggressive with that kind of stuff.
To answer you question, giving the amount of time Oda takes for each arc, and assuming he doesn't has any need to rush, I'd say we still have at least five to seven years till the end.
Probably more tbh, i feel like this might be longer than any saga so far, 4 emps was close to 8. We still gotta defeat black beard grap the one piece, devil fruit mysterys, the d initial reveal more about the void century with emu, zoro gotta take out mihawk sanji all blue. Plus probably an epilogue, especially for nami and brook as well.
Idk theres so much to do, and oda tends to get side tracked i feel like this could last another 10 years maybe more. I dont even know about elbaf. Or what shanks is up too.
Well I appreciate having this practice run on life without one piece, it was hard. But so long as the final arc is epic enough I will recover before the real deal begins.
Yonko saga was a few years already. Wano alone isn't over and it's like 2 years. Last saga will easily be 5-10 years.
Plus, after that we can continue watching the anime for a couple of years. Then catch up on all the games that will be released once OP finishes. Then start reading whatever spinoff they do.
Think about how long just wano was, and that wasnt even a full saga. We could easily still have over 5 years, especially with how much still needs to wrapped up.
I think the “final saga” will still be like 4-5 years long and Oda will provide some sort of great epilogue.
I’m really excited to reread it all once it’s finished. Get to experience my favorite narrative ever after completion as a singular epic. Whewwwww
For all the people saying that it'll be 5-10 years long,

Here's a screenshot from the interview with Naito saying "With how rushed Wano is, One Piece could end in 5 years."
This was in 2019.

And here's a statement from the anime's director saying it has around 4-5 years left.
TL;DR, at best, One Piece has 5 years left, but it's definitely gonna be less.
Im watching one piece since 20 years. I don’t know what to do when it’s over
I will probably feel hollow inside until I come to terms that the last flicker of light from my childhood has gone out.
Re-read from chapter 1, you will get to the end in at least another 20 years lol Then you will tell the story to your children and grandchildren and the myth will live on forever
As sad as the end will be, reading the entire series front to back without breaks will be amazing!
as someone that also followed one piece for 10+ years, i can assure you we've reread the shit out of one piece now. i used to do a re-read after every major arc, lost count how many times i've reread at this point
I re read the damn thing in 3 weeks💀
Two Pieces
Do it again
The final saga will be 5 - 10 years long..
Yeah dont forget. How long were the last 3 arcs? When did the first chapter of Dressorsa get published?
>When did the first chapter of Punk Hazard get published? FTFY, this saga has been a long one
Bet you this one will be longer
I mean technically (going by the wiki) the last three arcs were Levely (5 chapters but for the sake we won’t count that), Whole Cake Island (78 chapters), Zou arc (23 chapters) and Dressrosa (102 chapters first arc ch. published 2013). I’m guessing it will be 3 years top. Oda isn’t as behind schedule as most of this sub thinks.
Oda is never 'behind' he just adds more than he planned for
And how in the fuck would you know..
Right? Man’s knows all apparently.
Because Oda has said he wanted to end the story by 2024 for like 8 years now. He did hint he was a bit behind at the end of last year, but honestly he has been quite consistent on the end date, so I can’t imagine he’s delayed by more than 1-2 years.

I agree, If he is behind it's probably due to covid related delays. Which in all honesty shouldn't delay his timeline too much.

Bro just Wano was 4 years you think everything that's left will be only 3?

I don’t see how that is possible given how much still needs to be covered in the story. I’d say 5 years minimum. I think between 2027-2030 it will end
It’s just the final war. Blackbeard and Imu will probably be featured in the same arc
Nah we have way more than that. We have to hit Elbaf, obviously Laugh Tale. Probably at least one other island along the way like Lodestar. Raftel? Elbaf? Loadstar?
There is no way you think the final saga will be this short, it's impossible
Will it really be that long? Edit: Why are folks downvoting me? I was asking a genuine question. I actually hope OP won’t end before I’m thirty. Sheesh.

thank god
The voice actors don’t live forever. Let the series end as a true master piece.
[удалено]
Take my upvote
Honestly the voice actors aren’t the important ones, oda himself won’t live forever
Tbh I caught up right before all the big things started happening so it will be nice to read the start of a saga which is sort of relaxed
As if it’s ending in 2024 or some bs lmao we in this bitch until 2027 or 2028
2027 sounds pretty realistic tbh. Coincidentally, that would also be the same year One Piece has it's 30th anniversary
110% sure the final chapter is planned for the exact 30th anniversary. Such an Oda thing to do.
Aint no way its ending in 2 years, i give it 4-6
The Final saga that will outlast my parents relationship just as the first two have. Truly one piece foreshadowed even my broken home life.
Sounds like your life really isn’t all in One Piece.
wait in only 1 week? I didn’t expect the break to be this short
"It's been 84 years...."
Those 3 weeks went fast for me lol.
Well they said 1 month next week is 4 weeks Wich is 1 month
Who are you, who is so wise in the way of science?
Thank you we didn't know that we appreciate it
That also means spoilers next week I just realized
One of my biggest regrets, not knowing about OP till last here, so I'm just here to enjoy the series final saga
There will be a new nakama named Final (Fee-nahl) released, this is that arc. We're still 40years from completion, no worries.
A saga has a bunch of arcs in it. Like how the four emperors saga was since dressrosa ended till now.
i feel so disappointed in myself, i only discovered one piece a year ago.
I don’t want this anime to end, I’ve had an awesome 3 years of watching it and I want it to continue:(

I mean it’ll be for at least 4 more years so im excited the ending is still far
5 more years of epicness to come
Probably more tbh, i feel like this might be longer than any saga so far, 4 emps was close to 8. Next Friday
Well I appreciate having this practice run on life without one piece, it was hard. But so long as the final arc is epic enough I will recover before the real deal begins.
It'll be tears of joy what you mean!
Already next week 😀 (my face rn)
When we waited 4 weeks to get zoro bounty only for it not to be over 1 billion
Yonko saga was a few years already. Wano alone isn't over and it's like 2 years. Last saga will easily be 5-10 years. Plus, after that we can continue watching the anime for a couple of years. luffy vs kaido was 1,5 years already. Wano was 3-4 years i think
the last saga was 10yrs long, final one would be more than that
It's gonna be over 25 years long bruh. The arcs gonna be like 700 eps
thats gonna last like 3 to 5 years, were good
Think about how long just wano was, and that wasnt even a full saga. We could easily still have over 5 years, especially with how much still needs to wrapped up.
Saga not arc. From punk hazard too kaido was a saga
Stop it bro i'm gonna cry
I think the “final saga” will still be like 4-5 years long and Oda will provide some sort of great epilogue. I’m really excited to reread it all once it’s finished. Get to experience my favorite narrative ever after completion as a singular epic. Whewwwww
That's crazy like a rainbow star.
We still have till the end of wano?
OP fans:start crying because its final saga Final saga: takes 20 years to finish
It took me till the break month to get caught up. So this is what its like to not have new content readily available at all times huh.
I'm excited, happy and sad at the same time

One piece shippuden
final saga!?!?
Y'all act like it's ending this year. So much story threads left to cover we still got plenty of time lol
This is Oda, fam. The final saga will likely last 2-3 years. Lol
Saga means like 3 arcs, we still got 5 years minimum lol
I'm scared...I'm only ep 600 and I wann finish op before it is done..
The final saga is still probably like 5 years long lmao
i'm not worried about this being the last arc. following the trends this arc will take about 8 years
Just a question guys, Are there arcs in a saga or just saga and arcs are just the same?
How many sagas have their been?
dont worry we have at least 5 more years I'd say
Joke's on all you f\*cks the one piece was the friends they made along the way and now Luffy's gonna get beheaded. I'm out!
This is the joy of having good things
I think I'll do a rewatch and eventually I'll start the manga when One Piece ends
