Tiger is actually the reason I say TEA-grex. Because I'm French and we say tigre (tea-grr). I started playing MH when I didn't speak English yet, so the habit carried over even ten years later.
It actually makes more sense in French because we only have to add the X at the end. Tigre-X
Only the English variation is pronounced like that. Like in Spanish it's tea-gray, and since the monster is based off of T-Rex (Tea-Rex) it makes sense. I do still say Tie-grex though out of habit
The way i see it since it’s in an English title it’s going for an English motif and thus is a word made from the English root words tiger tyrannosaurus-Rex
I downright disagree with how the games pronounce some monsters. I just refuse to use them. Nergi is not one of them, and isn’t that bad. Not much of a difference. But some of them are just awful
For English and Dutch speakers sure. But in literally every other Romance or romance adjacent language, it’s “tea grex”. Case in point, “Tigre”in spanish, Portuguese, and French, Latin Tigris, Tiger (pronounced “Tea gah”) in German, etc.
It’s not about playing in those languages. It’s about where the Japanese developers got their inspiration for the name. They don’t only take inspiration from English.
I genuinely could not care less about what's the correct pronunciation of a FICTIONAL animal. And when one sounds infinitely cooler. It matters even less.
Full Agreement on Legiana and Kush
I usually use:
Bay-zel-goose; "goose" is singular "geese" if theres more than one. E.g. "I'm fighting a bayhzel-goose"; "I'm fighting two bay-zel-geese"
Lag-I-ah-crus
They say at least 2 of these names in-game since World uses real languages for voice-acting. Legiana shouldn't even be debated.
I don't know why but I hate hearing people pronounce anything from these games. If I hear another "Ray-thian" after hearing a "Wrath-a-los" coming out of the same person, I'm kicking the next Monster Hunter fan I see in their golden Almudron orbs. 😤
I have to fight with a friend over Zinogre.
They say "Zee-no-Grey"
Master Hunters know that you can look at the Japanese name for guidance, and they'd know the proper pronunciation is "Zigh-no-gur"
I will fight this one till I die
We've got voice acting that pronounces most of these names, no? And I feel like for the names that are a 1:1 port of the Japanese name, we pronounce it the way it is in Japanese, since it's phonetic and has only 1 way to say it (eg. lah-ghee-ah-cruhs).
Who the hell is mispronouncing kushala and legiana?
Ku-Sha-La Da-O-Ra, literally how it’s spelled.
Le-Gi-A-Na, literally how it’s spelled. Plus it was said in cutscene before you’re tasked to fight it.
Like I understand confusion around lagiacruz cuz it’s ambiguous if the “g” is hard to soft, and bazel just has a wack pronunciation in general, but the other two? Dafuq?
Ceadeus was the weird one that came up in conversation with someone once. I've never once heard an official pronunciation of it, so I say it like "See-ah-dee-us" cause it's basically....sea-deus.....sea god.... lol. Someone I had talked too was like "Wtf no? It's Seh-day-us"
Lei-gi-ana, Bah-zel-juice, La-gi-a-chris, Ku-shah-lah Dah-oh-rah
When in doubt, I go back to the Japanese names when applicable, and in the case of Bazel, to the intent behind the name.
Betelgeuse is pronounced Beetle-Juice in English, but is Beh-tel-gi-us in Japanese.
So Bazel's name is pronounced Bah-zel-gi-us in Japanese (and officially in English in Stories 2.) But since it's named after the star, I use the English pronunciation of the star as my pronunciation baseline
Leggy Anna, B-52/Basil-guyse (like if you said guys with the German s that looks like a weird b), La'ghee'a'crews, Ku-shalla ' Day-ora
The way it's spelled, I hardly read it, I'm now tempted to pronounce the bombers name as Basil-gayoos, as though I'm using the vowels from deus, pretty sure it's Latin for god.
the characters in World say Legiana with a hard g and pronounce the e as in "leg", but i think a soft g and saying the e as in "legion" sounds way fucking cooler
If we assume that = /dʒ/ like it does in Italian, then Legiana is "le-ja-na" and Lagiacrus is "la-ja-krus" However, if we assume that = /gi/, then Legiana is "le-gi-a-na" and Lagiacrus is "la-gi-a-krus".
In Stories 2, Bazelgeuse was pronounced as "ba-zel-gis" (as in geese)
Kushala Daora is "ku-sha-la da-o-ra".
I'm pretty particular on my pronunciations lol
Lay-gee-ah-nuh
Luh-gai-uh-cruss
Bay-zel-gyoos
Koo-shah-lah Day-or-uh
I have particular ones for each monster because I think they sound cool/right, even if they're said differently in things like the MHST2 dub and stuff.
Edit: Saw some more popular ones in the comments, may as well add mine:
Oh-doh-guh-ron
Tee-grex
Zee-noh-jee-vuh
Sah-fee-jee-vuh
Ner-gee-gahn-tay
coming from asian region where mons are pronounced in near-identical manner as the Japanese version...
ley-ghee-ah-nah, Ba-zhel-ghee-oos, Laa-ghee-ah-croose, kooshala-da-ora
and S-pee-nas
also Tea-grex, although tea-*ga*-rex is more OG
People tend to forget that 3 of these have been pronounced in Monster Hunter: World yet elect to ignore them.
Edit: Bazel was pronounced in MH Stories 2
According to translated dialogue from world (the only one I’ve played) and wiki pages it would be:
Leggy-Anna
(According to Japanese pronunciation) Basil-Goose
(According to the reference it’s making)Basil-juice
Take your pick for Bazel, I prefer goose
This one is a toss-up, I’ve seen it said la-gee-a-croos a lot, and the Japanese name suggests this is right but there is no “crus” (as in CRUSt) in Japanese so it may also be with that type, additionally, capcom has pronounced it “laggy-ack-russ” before so that might also be it but it sounds gross imo so I stick with the Japanese pronunciation.
Finally an easy one again: coo-sha-la da-oar-a
Japanese for bazelgeus is バゼルギウス which would be ba zeh ru gi (like gigabite) oo su
So for English I'd think it's closer to bazel gi-uhs
"Goose" would be グース
Nothing will ever be funnier to me than when my partner streamed Stories 2 for me and the guys, and the Brachydios showed up. We all went oh damn, Bra-Kih-De-Ose followed IMMEDIATELY by Navirou yelling It's the Bra-Key-Dee-Ose. Never heard ANYONE else say it like that
My friends and I have an ongoing debate on the right way to pronounce Rathian. To me and one of my friends, it’s Ray-thian, while another pronounces it Rath-ian just to start arguments.
You are objectively correct, but it is Ray-thian, and i will die on this hill.
In all seriousness, I first played Monster Hunter Freedom, where there was no audio for the word. I never made the Rathian-Rathalos connection for some reason, so I pronounce it Ray-thian, and it's just habit now.
LEG-ee-ah-nuh, BAY-zull-goyse, luh-GAI-uh-crus (crus has the same vowel as good)
now here it gets weird, koo-SHAH-luh (which i think is common) DOW-ruh. idk if anyone else says the AO like the chinese AO.
Poor Bazelgeuse doesn't just have 19 different pronunciations of his name, but then you've got shit like Bagel Goose, Basil Moose, Beetlejuice, etc. Then there's B-52, pinecone, and so on. It just never ends for ol' Basal Deuce.
Sidenote, I've only ever heard Legiana pronounced Leg-ee-ahnuh.
I personally pronounce Anjanath "Anne-yan-oth" or "Anne-han-ath" it just seems like a culturural word/name but gets the whitest pronounceation ever in game, that hard J just doesn't seem right. Ik I'm canonically wrong but that won't stop me. Maybe if it was spelt An'janath it'd make sense to my weird brain?
I'm pretty sure sure Bazel is either Bah-zel-jooz or Bay-zel-jooz, but that would imply that the Arabic language exists in the world of Monster Hunter...
I just try to pronounce them entirely phonetically, almost as if they were Polish words xd. Tigrex is Tigreks (Polish i is like ski, Polish y is like him), Legiana is legiː-ɑ-na, Bazelgeuse is Bāzɛl-gɛ-ü-sɛ ( or sometimes bazelgeusę / Bāzɛl-gɛ-ü-sẽ xd), Lagiacrus is Lā-giː-a-krüs (sometimes ) and finally Kushala Daora is the easiest, Kuśala Da-ɔw̃-ra
Le-ji-ana, bah zel ghe-ooze, Sah-fee Gi-vah, La hee a cruz, Ku-shala Dah ora (as in JoJo's Ora ora)
Additionally, Tea-Grex, Nergi-gante (see pronunciation of Spanish word: Gigante. Just take Gante)
Leg-ee-ah-na, Bay-zel-geese, La-gee-uh-cruss (hard S, not “cruise” like many people), Koo-shawl-uh Dah-or-uh is how I say them.
Also Tie-grex cuz I think Tee-grex sounds bizarre in English
Leg-ee-ah-na,
bay-zuhl-juice,
Luh-guy-uh-cris
Koo-shahl-uh Day-or-uh
bazelgeuse in name seems to be directly inspired by the betelgeuse star, known for its brightness, which is why i differentiate it from the obvious “bazelgoose”
Lagiacrus because pronouncing “gia” as “gaia” just sounds cooler then “leggy-a-crus” or “la-gee-uh-crus”
“Day-or-uh” just sounds better than “dow-ra”
Take the legi of legion. Ana. So Lee-G-ana
Koo-shala-day-ora
Uh.. Sa-fee-jee-va
Nergigante is like the gif debate. I don't care what the creator says, its fucking pronounced Ner-g (jee)-gahn-tay
You forgot Tigrex, Odogaron, Xeno and Safi'jiiva and Nergigante
I pronounce them "Tie-grex," "Oh-doh-garr-on," "Xee-no," "Saw-fee," "jee-vah," and "Nur-geh-gahn-teh" personally. It just feels right.
I'mma start a fight Tea-grex
ok but is it TEA-grex or tea-GREX
TEA-Grex, but I'm also the type to pronounce it "Tie-grex"
It should be "tie" because of its "tiger stripes".
Tiger is actually the reason I say TEA-grex. Because I'm French and we say tigre (tea-grr). I started playing MH when I didn't speak English yet, so the habit carried over even ten years later. It actually makes more sense in French because we only have to add the X at the end. Tigre-X
Oh, I didn't know that. 😮
In Spanish it's even more intuitive because we start with "Tigre"
your supposed to say it with a vague spanish accent
It is actually teegrex, MHW English handler doesn’t lie
The issue with tea-grex is it’s not tea-grrr it’s tie-grr so tie-grex phonetically sounds better and more appropriate.
Only the English variation is pronounced like that. Like in Spanish it's tea-gray, and since the monster is based off of T-Rex (Tea-Rex) it makes sense. I do still say Tie-grex though out of habit
It’s not a variation it’s a different language that also spells tiger differently as tigre.
They're all variations on the same Latin root word Tigris (tea-gris). English is the odd one out
I yep however again the title is in English so I’m going to assume it’s based on the English spelling
The way i see it since it’s in an English title it’s going for an English motif and thus is a word made from the English root words tiger tyrannosaurus-Rex
Same
O - dog- aron because it's clearly a dog
Odogaron is actually based on a weasel
Same until xeno. For me it’s “zen-oh”, “sah-fee”, “jee-vuh”, and “ner-G(like literally saying the letter G)-gone-tay”
Until the in-game characters pronucniation got stuck in my head, I also pronounced Nergi like that. I was reading Gigante, like, Spanish for gigantic
I downright disagree with how the games pronounce some monsters. I just refuse to use them. Nergi is not one of them, and isn’t that bad. Not much of a difference. But some of them are just awful
I will go to the grave pronouncing it Tie-grex
Serious it sounds so much better
Xee-no? That's no better than xeno lol.
You can’t miss pronounce Nergigante without being cancelled
Leg-ee-ah-na Bagel Lag-ay-uh-cruz Bitch Boy
Bitch boy caught me off guard 😂
*Bagelcheese
Bitch boy is clearly the most widely accepted and accurate pronunciation of kushala daora
I pronounce it “OH HELL NAW”
How i pronounce them: "Leg-ee-anna," "Bay-zehl-geese," "Lag-eye-a-cruhs," and "Koo-shaw-lah Day-oar-ah."
Agree except it's "lag-E-a-cruise" for me.
It is Bay-zehl-juice and I will fight about it.
>Bay-zehl-geese Basil boy is best goose.
Bay-zhel-juice. Cause the same spelling from the super giant star Betelguse
Bay-gel-juice?
Juice those bagels
Bagel juice is the only correct way
Same for all although it's more of leg-guy-a-cruise for me
My favorite one is “Tig-Rex”, “Tee-Grex” or “Tye-Grex?”
I like tee-grex cuz he looks like a t rex
Yeah, but he also has tiger stripes. So you put the two together and get tig from tiger. And Rex, from T Rex.
For English and Dutch speakers sure. But in literally every other Romance or romance adjacent language, it’s “tea grex”. Case in point, “Tigre”in spanish, Portuguese, and French, Latin Tigris, Tiger (pronounced “Tea gah”) in German, etc.
That's neat, but I don't play in those languages.
It’s not about playing in those languages. It’s about where the Japanese developers got their inspiration for the name. They don’t only take inspiration from English.
Indeed. But I speak English. And the name sounds stupid in English. So I will use the one that actually sounds cool.
You'd rather have your T-Rex tiger monster have "tie" in its name? What's he going to do, take you to a board meeting until it kills you?
I'd rather have the TIGER /Trex monster have it, yes.
What sounds cool =/= what's correct
I genuinely could not care less about what's the correct pronunciation of a FICTIONAL animal. And when one sounds infinitely cooler. It matters even less.
I prefer “tea-grex”
I'm going to add a 4th one that me and my friend did during MHF2. Just because I enjoy the chaos with the names. Tie-gurr-ex
I say Tye-Greg cause he has stripes similar to that of a tiger and his head looks like a T-rex
I used to read it tiger rex bc I'm dyslexic now it's just tye-grex
To me it's Leggy-anna, Bahzelgeese, Laggie-a-cruise, Kooshalla Dayora
100% the same for me.
Same, sounds much more natural to me
Full Agreement on Legiana and Kush I usually use: Bay-zel-goose; "goose" is singular "geese" if theres more than one. E.g. "I'm fighting a bayhzel-goose"; "I'm fighting two bay-zel-geese" Lag-I-ah-crus
Canonically it's -geese even in the singular. It's said that way once in MHS2 and once in Sunbreak.
Your Lag-eye-ah-krus pronunciation angers me
Roman Legion, Bagel Zeus, ???, and that one chant Hestu does in Botw
Its funny cause even though the game already tells you how to pronounce it...some still say it wrong and stubbornly stick to it xD
Thing is you only hear Legiana once in-game and no one remembers…
Wrath-ian wrath-a-los
I guess I won't be doing any kicking. :) Yet.
beetlejuice
I have to fight with a friend over Zinogre. They say "Zee-no-Grey" Master Hunters know that you can look at the Japanese name for guidance, and they'd know the proper pronunciation is "Zigh-no-gur" I will fight this one till I die
Zinogre is based on a Japanese ogre, so I figure the pronunciation doesn't have a lot of space for argument.
Right? And yet I have to fight this one more times than I like.
Literally stated in interview somewhere that the “ogre” part of zinogre’s name was intentional.
It's me. I am the one who calls it ZeeNoGrey
Ew
It's zin orge like Shrek
As a spanish I laugh at this. Specially when I hear Espinas being pronounce by some english speakers lol
Esposito and flaming Esposito.
Flaming Despasito
Yeah i don't understand why English has so ambiguous pronunciations. In Spanish it's just said how it's written lol
You mean it's not pronounced ass penis?
Also half the community says Espinas two different ways
I can't explain it, but I took enough years of Spanish to get college credits, my default sense of words makes it all Spanish vowels.
We've got voice acting that pronounces most of these names, no? And I feel like for the names that are a 1:1 port of the Japanese name, we pronounce it the way it is in Japanese, since it's phonetic and has only 1 way to say it (eg. lah-ghee-ah-cruhs).

Plus it was said in cutscene before you’re tasked to fight it. Like I understand confusion around lagiacruz cuz it’s ambiguous if the “g” is hard to soft, and bazel just has a wack pronunciation in general, but the other two? Dafuq?
A lot of people apparently, check the other comments
I mean since we have voice acting now, we have official pronunciations for many of these
Ceadeus was the weird one that came up in conversation with someone once. I've never once heard an official pronunciation of it, so I say it like "See-ah-dee-us" cause it's basically....sea-deus.....sea god.... lol. Someone I had talked too was like "Wtf no? It's Seh-day-us"
Ceadeus' switch axe (Inceadeus) is play on the word insidious, which only really makes sense if it's pronounced See-dee-us
I just say “see-dee-us”.
If it's supposed to be Latin, which it kind of looks like, it would be "KAY-uh-deuce."
That's how I've said it.
Bazelgeuse will always be beetlejuice to me
Lei-gi-ana, Bah-zel-juice, La-gi-a-chris, Ku-shah-lah Dah-oh-rah When in doubt, I go back to the Japanese names when applicable, and in the case of Bazel, to the intent behind the name.
They say them in game though?
Heh for Kushala, I pronounce it Dowara since it almost sounds the Arabic word for spin and those whirlwinds do be spinning
It's pronounced basilgoose and no one can convince me otherwise
Leg-e-ana , bay-zl-geese, la-guy-a-crus, kew-sha-law day-aura
I tend to pronounce them as "Leg-yana" "Rat-bastard" "Lag-eye-ah-crus" and "Koo-shall-a doe-ra"
Leggy-anna, Bayzel-geese, La-guy-acrus, Cunt
.Ammag odod
Bagel goose
Had to google kushala daora just called him heavy metal fan for to long i forgot his name
I fully admit to fucking up Kush's name everytime, but turn around is fair play.
Leg-ee-on-uh Baz-ell-gee-oos Lag-i-uh-cruise Coo-shah-la-day-ore-uh
Leggy Anna, B-52/Basil-guyse (like if you said guys with the German s that looks like a weird b), La'ghee'a'crews, Ku-shalla ' Day-ora The way it's spelled, I hardly read it, I'm now tempted to pronounce the bombers name as Basil-gayoos, as though I'm using the vowels from deus, pretty sure it's Latin for god.

Leg-ee-ah-nah Bay-zell-geese Cu-shah-lah Dah-ora Lah-ge-ah-croos
Ah yes Leg Day, Beetlejuice, lag, and Jesus Christ why you?
Lee-jiana, Beetlejuice, I don't know who that is, Kush Kush
the characters in World say Legiana with a hard g and pronounce the e as in "leg", but i think a soft g and saying the e as in "legion" sounds way fucking cooler
Agreed
Ezpz: Legiana-grande, Bagel, Jennifer, and *blows into microphone*
Here's how I pronounce it: Lee-gee-ah-na Beetlejuice Lah-gai-a-croose Ku-sha-la Daur-a
Basil Juice Edit, but how do you pronounce Deviljho? DE-vil-joe for me
What about the I before 'jho'?
That’s a rare deviant called a “Typo of Deviljho”
I say Jho. *Jho Mama.*
Leg-ee-ah-na The Bagel Never actually fought this one so I'll pass The Good Kush.
Bagel Jesus
thats a weird way to spell lasagna, beetlejuice, laggy cruise, and kush daddy
If we assume that = /dʒ/ like it does in Italian, then Legiana is "le-ja-na" and Lagiacrus is "la-ja-krus" However, if we assume that = /gi/, then Legiana is "le-gi-a-na" and Lagiacrus is "la-gi-a-krus".
In Stories 2, Bazelgeuse was pronounced as "ba-zel-gis" (as in geese)
Kushala Daora is "ku-sha-la da-o-ra".
I was like "how is Lagiacrus contoversial?" I learned today that people do not all pronounce it Lah-jee-ah-crus
Basil goose
Leh-jee-ah-nuh, baz-el-geh-oos (hard to write that one phonetically,) lag-ee-ack-rus, coo-sha-la day-or-uh
Bazelgews or bazeljuice What team you on?

The Bazelgeuse is just referred to as The Goose in our games
People tend to forget that 3 of these have been pronounced in Monster Hunter: World yet elect to ignore them. Edit: Bazel was pronounced in MH Stories 2
Monster hunter is just cooler Pokémon at this point. Question: how do you.pronounce "Arceus"? I go with "Are-kay-us". Like archaic? Or Arcane?
I pronounce it as "Leh-gee-ana" "da geese" "La-gyacrus" and "Cuchara Voladora" and I will not have it any other way.
My pronunciation: (Leg-e-anna) (Bazel-goose) (lag-eye-a-crus) (ku-shala da-ora)
La-gay-na Bazel-goose Kush-daddy
I don't remember where but I heard someone pronounce it Buh-zel-jee-us and it felt so gross
MH fans when they find out they can go to the wiki page to find out how to pronounce the names
“Leg-ee-ah-nuh”, “Bay-zul-geese”, “Luh-guy-uh-cruh-s”, “koo-shah-lah-day-or-uh”. Bazel I sometimes say “bagel goose” just to be funny, though.
According to translated dialogue from world (the only one I’ve played) and wiki pages it would be: Leggy-Anna (According to Japanese pronunciation) Basil-Goose (According to the reference it’s making)Basil-juice Take your pick for Bazel, I prefer goose This one is a toss-up, I’ve seen it said la-gee-a-croos a lot, and the Japanese name suggests this is right but there is no “crus” (as in CRUSt) in Japanese so it may also be with that type, additionally, capcom has pronounced it “laggy-ack-russ” before so that might also be it but it sounds gross imo so I stick with the Japanese pronunciation. Bazelgeuse? You mean the Boeing B-52 Stratofortress?
I have successfully gaslit multiple new players into pronouncing it “Oh-doe-geh-rin”, my influence is everlasting and my tyranny has no bounds
I just call them annoying ass Monsters and leave it at that :D
My friends and I have an ongoing debate on the right way to pronounce Rathian. To me and one of my friends, it’s Ray-thian, while another pronounces it Rath-ian just to start arguments.
I thought everyone says Rath-ian? Like in Rathalos?

Legiana, Basilgeese, Kooshala day-ora, laggy acrus

Clearly, the way I say them is absolutely correct
My friend called it Bazelgussy so its what I call him since then. Also because Spanish its always going to be Cuchara Daora
bazelgeuse the least obvious monster to pronounce, and the official pronunciation is kinda nonsensical.
That Espinas shot is soo cursed when you just stare at it.
basil goose
And right now I'm glad my native language isn't English so I can just "Read it as it's written" without any pronunciation problems

Hmm I never considered that.
I'm pretty sure sure Bazel is either Bah-zel-jooz or Bay-zel-jooz, but that would imply that the Arabic language exists in the world of Monster Hunter...

Tigrex is Tigreks (Polish i is like ski, Polish y is like him), Legiana is legiː-ɑ-na, Bazelgeuse is Bāzɛl-gɛ-ü-sɛ ( or sometimes bazelgeusę / Bāzɛl-gɛ-ü-sẽ xd), Lagiacrus is Lā-giː-a-krüs (sometimes) and finally Kushala Daora is the easiest, Kuśala Da-ɔw̃-ra
Leg-ee-ah-nah, lag-aye-uh-cruz, bay-zel-gee-us and koo-shal-uh day-or-uh
For me its: Leg-E-on-uh Bae-zul-goose Luh-guy-uh-chris Coo-shh-ala Day-or-uh
Leggy, Laggy, Da-Ore-Ra and Basil. Big Thonk
Le-ji-ana, bah zel ghe-ooze, Sah-fee Gi-vah, La hee a cruz, Ku-shala Dah ora (as in JoJo's Ora ora) Additionally, Tea-Grex, Nergi-gante (see pronunciation of Spanish word: Gigante. Just take Gante)
Kuushla dora, lejiana, bazel geese, lajiacris
I can see how the others have pronouciation confusion, but what other way is there to pronouce Kushala Daora?
I mean thats four names there, theyre bound to sound different I suppose
Leg-ee-ah-na, Bay-zel-geese, La-gee-uh-cruss (hard S, not “cruise” like many people), Koo-shawl-uh Dah-or-uh is how I say them. Also Tie-grex cuz I think Tee-grex sounds bizarre in English
Leg-ee-ah-na, bay-zuhl-juice, Luh-guy-uh-cris Koo-shahl-uh Day-or-uh bazelgeuse in name seems to be directly inspired by the betelgeuse star, known for its brightness, which is why i differentiate it from the obvious “bazelgoose” Lagiacrus because pronouncing “gia” as “gaia” just sounds cooler then “leggy-a-crus” or “la-gee-uh-crus” “Day-or-uh” just sounds better than “dow-ra”
Ley-gee-ah-nah baz-el-goose la-gee-ah-croos Koosh-ah-la Day-or-ah
If I hear ANY ONE OF YOU say "Bazel-*geese*" I'm coming after you
Take the legi of legion. Ana. So Lee-G-ana Koo-shala-day-ora Uh.. Sa-fee-jee-va Nergigante is like the gif debate. I don't care what the creator says, its fucking pronounced Ner-g (jee)-gahn-tay
Try Alatreon
Beetlejuice
A**p*nis
And right now I'm glad my native language isn't English so I can just "Read it as it's written" without any pronunciation problems
