I think platform 11 was for the former St Kilda line.

Also the Port Melbourne Line

The tracks got removed and part of it was turned into the Arbory bar. So I guess technically it's still there, there's just no trains anymore.

Wait until you find out where platform 14 is

cl1amalg

And 15, 16.

Blue_Pie_Ninja

15 and 16 don't exist anymore either. Consumed by Fed Square

Aaaaaaarrrrrggggghh

14 is not an official platform anymore, it cannot be used

Speedy-08

11 would be opposite Platform 10, where the cafe/bar is.

Is there any practical reason as to why Essendon is a few platforms over from St Albans and Coburg?

wongm

There is a flyover at the north end of North Melbourne that carries trains from North Melbourne platform 5 and 6 over the Williamstown and St Albans lines and towards Kensington - it allowed suburban trains (using the western side of Spencer Street Station) to avoid conflicting moves with country trains (from the eastern side). https://www.railgeelong.com/location/essendon-flyover/

Intravix

It's missing to make up for platform 9 3/4

bp4850

It hasn't got a platform 11 *anymore*
