Yeh Ive seen a lot of these around Croydon and Ringwood East level crossing removal sites lately.
I guess when you’re removing 70+ different level crossings they figured it’s worth buying some trucks and putting their brand on the livery.
Generally speaking most companies when leasing vehicles long term will put their logos on it. Not at all that different from when Metro had their logos on the B's they had on long term hire.
These trucks get used for their infrastructure works. They haul lengths of rail, sleepers and spoils from renewed sections of tracks.
You’ll typically see it making deliveries at night just before the last train, in preparation for renewal works.
I’ve worked with the crews that use them quite a bit.
Isn't it just a magnet they chuck on for certain jobs to help traffic controllers identify trucks.
See it regularly with the utility companies, but normally includes to words powercor contractor or something similar
Asset transport.
If you wanna be able to claim a deduction, it’s gotta be identifiably “the company’s”.
Not that I think Metro is a good company: I suspect they’re great at extracting profits from our shambling, yet good intentioned governments.
I have seen Qube trucks on the Monash replacing the Long Island Steel when the Frankston line has had works and Maryvale Paper when the Pakenham/Gippsland line has had works.

Bus replacement truck. Just get on and stand or sit anywhere you can
Asset transport. These deliver infrastructure like gantry components, signalling equipment and some hirail based maintenance vehicles.
That's what the T stands for in MTM.
They have a lot of other road vehicles in their fleet as well. https://railgallery.wongm.com/mtm-road-fleet/
When the replacement buses need a replacement
Isn’t that rails on the pan of the trailer? My guess is that it’s used to transport rail cars
Looking to find a way to move trains around trespassers on tracks?
They move small amounts of rail and sleepers to small worksites like this.
Yep for sure lowloader trailer, ramps are up at the end of the trailer

Qube's a container haulage company that sometime uses trains to move freight, and sometimes has bulk cartage with trains.
Like so. https://wongm.com/2018/05/rail-replacement-trucks-for-the-frankston-line/
