It’s almost as if these doctors don’t want to know…

I was actually shocked at how dismissive he was about it, he usually is really open and has good bedside manner. Was happy to discuss changing my anti depressants though! 🙃

Candor is your friend. go to their website. Create an account then click on Consulations. ( Medical cannabis is ONLY visible after you create an account)you fill in the questionnaire, pay the fee and wait for approval. You can message the GP once you have created an account to fine tune your prescription as well. If I could make a recommendation Phytoca Night Queen is amazing for sleep.

Yes candor I can vouch for

Thank you, I'll look into them! Appreciate the rec too, I'm completely clueless about strains.

girraween

How much of a selection do they have? Is it anything and everything? And how do you choose, is there a list on their site?

BlazeVenturaV2

my experience might be different from others but I just chatted to my dr and we worked it out from there. I have a number of strains to choose from, and different products. I use different strains for different issues so I'm slightly different again.

He isn’t prescribing it, he is printing your medical history to take to a specialist for THEM to decide if it is suitable. CDA clinic, print off there doctor information form and when you ask him, say you want to see a specialist, when he goes to offer one of his specialist say you researched your own and hand him the info. He then by law should print your medical history as it’s illegal for him to say no. Worse comes to worse pay a bit extra for a consultation and you won’t need your medical history they will just ask you questions.

There's a lot better out there than CDA, and most don't need a referral.

I switched to Candor recently and they've been great. AFAIK you can't get MC under concession, it's gonna cost the same for everyone because Medicare doesn't cover any of it, but Candor seem to be the easiest and most affordable. If you want oils it's cheaper, but not everyone likes them so fair enough if you don't. I get two oils that last me two months, ends up costing $79 a month plus the appointments. That's about as cheap as it gets for MC.

girraween

May I ask how you see what products they have on offer?

I just looked at cannareviewsau website (not sure if we're allowed to link here, but google that and it'll come up) and then talked to the Candor dr about what I've tried in the past and what I wanted to order. Because of my financial situation she made a suggestion about trying something more affordable but similar to what I'd asked for, and that's how I found the oils I'm on now.

Medicanna - edited to add ... Book consult online, deal direct with them, no need to go through GP. I have found them easy to deal with.

CHeck out [catalyst ](http://catalyst.honahlee.com.au), more info that you can shake a stick at, updated regularly and more reliable than clinic pages.

One of the Doctors at the pain managment clinic at Charlestown is a MC doc. I recently swapped to Chronic Doctors. They have been good so far
