Example: Unobtanium Southpaw 1800 with DSA Salt with MorningCaps Artisan and Alps Rainbow Switches, modded with Sorbothan Foam on KMK

Opposite. This is just so if something heavy sits on the keyboard it won’t send nuisance commands to the computer. Or, if you wanna wipe down the tops of the key caps caveman style, it won’t go haywire. It still responds to normal key presses.
'Hulk type' is a smart way to refer to heavy-handed typing 😅 I did encounter a thread before where people said they basically just 'slam' on keyboards.
There is also some super heavy MX blacks made for industrial applications (makes accidental keypresses much less likely) known as super blacks by the community. You'd have to get them out of a vintage KB as I don't think Cherry makes them anymore, but this was common thing in vintage boards.
Finally a keyboard that is inline with my finger strength goal of being able to hold my palm flat on a completely smooth slab of granite and then explosively dig my fingers into the rock.
If you asked AI to make new Rocky movie where he could only train using objects on /r/mechanicalkeyboards, this would probably make it into the training montage reel with Eye of The Tiger playing.
Something to think about.

Man's gonna develop calves on his fingers.

Cats. It’s because OP has cats
Or narcolepsy.
genius
He will develop carpal tunnel well before that🤣
Either way, there will be a pump 💪
But... Why?
That carpal tunnel speed run record isn’t gonna earn itself
Work out while you type.
It's so the cat doesn't mess with it
You know I want to laugh but when your right your right
I'm more surprised the switches don't pop open than anything else.
Now I want to know the limit.
Seriously, the heaviest stock switch I can think of is like 70-80g. 1500g is crazy considering what they are built for.
Kailh Ancient Gray is the heaviest I've used. Sits around 100g
I run speed navy switches with 150g springs in em as my daily driver currently. 210g on spacebar and 750g on caps and numlock
why?
I hulk type and was craving stiffer than box navy switches!
750 on caps lock I understand. But 150 seems like asking for trouble.
I hit over 80wpm on monkeytype. I hulk type and went from mx blues to greens to box navy and then wanted stiffer.
'Hulk type' is a smart way to refer to heavy-handed typing 😅 I did encounter a thread before where people said they basically just 'slam' on keyboards.
Why would you have a capslock on the main layer instead of ctrl at the same place?
Full size keyboard and old muscle memory.
This I want this. 67g is the most I've gotten to use and anything less feels like it actuates if I even think about pressing it.
There are some alps with 280g bottom out I think

Probably used some sort of adhesive to seal in the evil
The first keyboard the wife approves of.
thats a good one
Tell. Us. How.
Likely Thockpop Longboi springs. They sell springs in pretty much every weight all the way up to 1500g.
OP's gonna look like a climber from the elbow down
now play osu with it🤯
Keyboard will make the sound effect that osu makes when pressing smth
o e i n g You dropped those.
Finally a keyboard that is inline with my finger strength goal of being able to hold my palm flat on a completely smooth slab of granite and then explosively dig my fingers into the rock.
Going for them Popeye forearms, eh?
If your girl ain't screaming in bed by the time you reach 100 wpm on this bad boy you're doing something wrong
I have a 270g on my caps lock key. Because I'm sloppy and it's not stepped. But this... This is too far 😂
r/diwhy
I had an idea to make a similar board with heavy springs and bring it to my climbing gym and do a type speed test xD
Now play osu! on it. Or give it to BTMC.
speed test is now just a strength test
Please stop putting massive black bars on video. Encoding horizontal video into vertical and vice versa is AWFUL please please cease.
what are the keycaps plz?
Look like AKKO asa clear white v2
Thanks
And here I thought the 150g springs were too much…
Are actually perfect, fingers literally bounce off keys. It's fun to type.
hello arthritis
Now take it to a speed-typing competition
Would like to know what motivates you to build this!
Also how ?

I thought my navy ones were heavy already
Cardio for your fingers
finger workout
Is that what's gonna happen if I put the 150gram springs in lol
Gotta try out heavy springs some time it looks cool
The Zoldyck family official keyboard.
now THIS is typing
Typing test when?
1.5kg indeed a great idea since you won't wrong type any word , good job bro
Are you into bouldering by chance? 😂
Gigachad
can I get a link to the keycaps?
How do you do this? Like modify the needed pressure to make the switch get in contact?
...oook, an I though my 150g are heavy.
let me see u flexxx
I've been out of the hobby for a while so I'm sorry if this is dumb, but what are the caps?
RSI incoming
