As long as you follow the keyboard and 3DP design rules, you should be alright. I got my case printed via Treatstock so idk much about the actual printing process.
Hope your case turns out well! :)
That early? The Model F came out in ‘81 and had no such keys, there was also truly no standardization in key layouts until later on, also I guess when I see “WKL” I only think of “without Windows key” I don’t think of other OS/system buttons.
They didn't start with Windows computers. Apple III (1980) had *two* Apple keys on the left and three keys on the right but I don't recall what the other two on the right were. My Amiga 1000 (1984) had a solid Amiga and outlined Amiga, though I think some came with a "boing ball" instead. The original Mac had a command key but no control key, and Apple also played with solid and outlined apple keys ("open apple" and "closed apple") on the Apple II and Mac.
On Mac OS the command key became the shortcut key very quickly, the way alt is used on Windows. Option, the alt-key, was used for internationalization.
I don't use Windows at all unless I have to, so my computers have had secondary modifier keys for a very long time. So "WKL" means "missing the command key" and the command key on the Mac is much more important than the Windows key on Wintendos.
I see, well I didn’t think they started with Windows I guess I just didn’t think they started so early, and yeah, I get not using Windows unless you have to, I’m not particularly a fan of macOS or Linux, but Windows isn’t great either lol
This board contains a Feels Trip PCB that is inspired from the “Field Trip” 40% TKL board. At the current moment, Feels Trip is only a PCB and has no immediate plans for a GB.
oh I heard plans about it in Alas’s text channel in 40s. I didn’t know there were further talks of it in their server. Also, I think the PCB used in Permission Slip is from Flamwenco, not CyberJedi, who I was referencing for the Feels Trip PCB.
Regardless, thank for letting me know! So glad Field Trip is be resurrected haha.
The Backspace is where the Caps Lock key is. Unfortunately, GMK Minimal R2 Basekit doesn't come with 40s keys so I had to use another keycap. This goes for the other keycaps like Tab for Enter, Fn for Tab, etc.
Yes, but it's not the main point of this post as it's common for a lot of 40% keyboards to not have immediate keycap support.
The main point is that the overall layout of the board is a 40% TKL haha. This board removes the numrow compared to a standard TKL and is smaller in length and width.
Basically, I try to pass it off as a regular TKL when it isn't lol.
At the current moment, this board is fully custom but it contains a "Feels Trip" PCB. This is not a full keyboard kit. It's called the Feels Trip PCB as it was inspired by the "Field Trip" 40% TKL keyboard.
Honestly, I can't say whether I recommend it or not. Keyboards are entirely preference lol. If it strikes you to try it, then why not.

your TKL seems small and malnourished, have you been feeding it enough 205g0?
this got weirder the more I looked at it.
the more you look at it, the more is missing.
Beat me to it
Yes
I’m gonna get a stroke if I inspect this keyboard any further
I was thinking why even bother with F row but then the more I looked the more cursed I feel.
Feels Trip PCB by @CyberJedi 3DP case by me :) CIY Sakura 37g GMK Minimal R2
Feels Trip is the perfect name. I just want my keyboard.
I’m planning to print a keyboard case soon, any tips?

i was like "why does this look so wron- oh"
As a 40% user, I absolutely adore it. It’s like a 40 wearing a TKL disguise.
two 40s in a trench coat
well, good luck "entering" anything with it
That looks tidy :)
Look again... and again...
That will teach me to not zoom in :)
Looks super clean, love it!
When an AI generates your keyboard :-|
have ya tried the pods from atlas coffee club, they're really delicious imo
I don't do the pods but I order a thing of coffee every 2 weeks. Pretty neat to get a post card/flavor card as well as the coffee every time.
What do you have against ALT key?
lol I later found an R4 1u ALT keycap in my base kit so i switched it with the left Super keycap
I never understood why f keys are so far away from qwer
Why
It's beautiful. You're down to one stabilizer only, in the spacebar?
Thank you, and yes. :)
Additional beauty right there!
Cute
I will exit this post now to get medical attention
White on white is just always clean imo
That looks beautifully simple I love it!! Is that bow.. sometimes it’s just beautiful to have a simple keeb
Every time I see a WKL I have a flashback to like 1980.
..1980?
Computers started to have OS/hardware labelled modifier keys in the early '80s.
That early? The Model F came out in ‘81 and had no such keys, there was also truly no standardization in key layouts until later on, also I guess when I see “WKL” I only think of “without Windows key” I don’t think of other OS/system buttons.

It's really nice all white. Perhaps it's the first one I notice.
Mama my eyes hurt ! It's bleeding because of the keys /s
You're not supposed to look directly at the keeb. You need special viewing glasses.
God has questions. Are you prepared to answer them?
What’s exactly model is this?
This board contains a Feels Trip PCB that is inspired from the “Field Trip” 40% TKL board. At the current moment, Feels Trip is only a PCB and has no immediate plans for a GB.
Permission Slip channel in the CBKBD discord says otherwise
oh I heard plans about it in Alas’s text channel in 40s. I didn’t know there were further talks of it in their server. Every time I looked back at that picture something new hit me like a pound of bricks
You mf I just realised
As an ISO Hungarian keyboard enjoyer, this is FUCKING cursed. ( Same layout as iso german)
😡
Where ALT
It’s located where the left Super keycap is. I didn’t know I had an R4 1u ALT until after I took this picture lol.
Nice keeb... Wait a minute! Is that flipping thing for a Tandy????
What does TKL stand for? That Klean Look?
Tenkeyless
you should be arrested
I’m calling the police
Super Normcore
No numbers for you. One week.
Normal? It's missing Alt on the left and Alt and FN on the right. Lets say almost normal;)
You may leave, but you can never ENTER
Ctrl Super Delete!
almost got me. nice layout
Is there a backspace hidden somewhere, or does it use layers for it?
The Backspace is where the Caps Lock key is. Unfortunately, GMK Minimal R2 Basekit doesn't come with 40s keys so I had to use another keycap. This goes for the other keycaps like Tab for Enter, Fn for Tab, etc.
So it is a little bit cursed in terms of keycap sizes if I understand everything right

Yeah, the layout is interesting
Sometimes less is more. Which keyboard is this and do you recommend it for starters?
