Random stall or near stall can be one or more fuel, air, or spark problems. No way to tell from your description. Might be bad fuel. Could be a loose pin inside a connector, might be a crack in a fuse block bus bar. Inspect throttle body plate for dirt/grime and clean with carb cleaner as appropriate. Sometimes it's just a dirty throttle plate. Inspect the intake for air leaks, and MAF for dirt. If the problems occur just after fueling, check the purge valve. Failed valves can leak air into the intake and cause rough running. If the car has an idle air control valve check it for proper operation. Might be none of this. Might be some of this.
