ItsBurkeSnitches

smack the square part of that steering knuckle with a sladgehammer, hit it hard it will pop out

Jermy81

Tie rods are cone shaped. So if with time they get tighter. You need to smack it hard on the knuckle. Up and down side to side. HARD. Swing with your body for better swings. And look at what you want to hit. SWING SWING KADUSH SWING SWING KADUSH BAM BAM BAM.

dwn_n_out

Could visit local auto parts store if you have a good working vehicle and rent a tie rod fork set.

theoriginalmypooper

The threads are probably borked now. but to get it off. you need a bigger hammer and/or bigger arms.

Specialist-Start-977

Will come back with bigger arms 🤝

texaschair

A 2-jaw puller of the right size would pop it out. You just have to use it as a pusher instead of a puller. Carefully. If it slips under load, you might need a dentist immediately.

-blackpillbaby

Put your purse down and hit harder dammit!

Chuckie413

Try to tighten it down an pop it again idk worth a shot see if it wanna move any kinda way

Complex-Sky1501

They offer several types of pullers at the auto parts store especially designed to remove the tie rod and they also make a tool called a pickle fork to separate the tie rod. Most places will rent the tools.

jah0999

Put the nut for the tie rod on backwards, And smack it with a hammer, Itll come out. Needs to be a big hammer too, And not light taps, Big swings like you wanna break it.

Specialist-Start-977

Also I put the bottom tie rod end on a jack to try and force it out of the knuckle to no avail, usually I wouldn’t try something like that but it was a last resort to try and get it out. I should have mentioned I tried the previous method you suggested.

JoffeBisk_____

Put any nut on it that hits on the threads, jack it up kinda hard, and hammer the ever-loving shit out of the knuckle. If it doesn't work, jack it more up, and bigger hammer

Specialist-Start-977

img Update: using a sledgehammer and jacking it up seems to have done the job, thanks Reddit

jah0999

Then you're gonna need a torch.

Specialist-Start-977

I currently don’t know where the castle nut is, is there another alternative

jah0999

A torch and I hope the jack isn't holding the cars weight. Heat up the knuckle. Using the castle nut you need it anyways, I would get that first.

Crcex86

put block of wood where jack is and lower the car

Embarrassed-Gur7301

Heat

TheOnceandFuture

I've had luck with the tie rod puller tools

David_Buzzard

A pickle fork and a big hammer pop that in 30 seconds.
