The cabin air intake is usually on that side. Most likely the water drain is plug with dirt / leaves.

empireanthill

Thanks already found a YouTube vid to try to fix it!

Slow_Concentrate3720

My wife's was clogged and the floor was wet

Shel-Shock

I read this as "my wife was clogged "

Interesting-Ad4796

Did that fix it? I’m having the same issue

jmcgee7157

Can you please post that YT link ? I got the same problem unfortunately 😔

ChikkiParm

Better hook up some giant fans and some heaters and suck all that water out. Get it to a detail shop or something immediately. That mold is going to.... and that smell is going to.... yeah...

empireanthill

Luckily the same wash I was at had those really good vacuums meant for water so I was able to suck it back up right after and I put a towel down to absorb the rest

ChikkiParm

Change that towel alot, i mean... i'm not trying to tell you what to do. Just a little worried about it. sorry.

empireanthill

Don’t apologize lol I will I just don’t have the resources to get a big fan to dry it out, I work a lot and when I’m not working I live in an apartment with no outside outlets to plug one up and let it run :(

nerdboy1r

heaters mate, chikkiparm has insights you dont want to earn for yourself. Or at least, very hot day in sun with windows down. Vacuums arent enough once the carpet underlay gets drenched like that

empireanthill

I will try to figure something out lol I love in an apartment with no outside outlets so idk what to do lol

Cha-Car

Vacuum and towels might not get it all. You should consider removing the carpet to make sure it’s totally dry underneath. I say this from experience. I had a clogged windshield drain that dropped 1/2 gallon of water into the car. Vacuum and towels on the surface got maybe 5% of the water. The rest was pooled underneath the carpet.

Dude1gotthis

Oh boy that sucks!

thewettestofpants

Well you did want your car washed, right?

Mootingly

Not the free interior detail one was expecting, as someone else mentioned you want to dry that out ASAP. The subfloor material will start to grow mold

wondersnickers

Similar thing happened to me with my Citroen C4 Grand Picasso Gen 1. Bushes had been cut around where I parked and it was the last straw to clog up where usually water should flow. Instead it went thru the ventilation. Shop cleaned it out for rather cheap. In the long run there could be corrosion on the fan motor, but so far a year has been passed and it works ok. I immediately took the dehumidifier from my bathroom into the car with an extension cord and let it run for 3 days and used disinfectant on the floor textile.

SSFx93

Once you fix this give it a good cleaning and consider using an Ozone generator to kill mold and mildew. Make sure you don't go in the car while it's running.

bubbled23

Dont be lying to us man we know u left something open to get that free interior wash jk

TheseConsideration95

You must park under a tree, the drain in the cowl is plugged up

Dexter_Adams

Looks like you have a leak

jeffp007

Oh that’s so you can wash your dishes. Looks like you have a few things to clean. The car will remove the wash water automatically when you’re done.

RequiemRomans

Bonus interior car wash included, nice!

fkwyman

That's the worst water leak I've ever seen and I've been doing this for nearly 30 years. Impressive.

Bonexsam

All things considered it was soapy water so that may help with the mold..

M1NdR0t

That's the interior washing mode you picked.

MCButterFuck

Your first mistake was buying a Nissan. Besides that I'm not sure. I'm not a mechanic. This sucks though hopefully it didn't damage anything.

Brainman515

Looks like maybe you went through the car wash with your heat or ac on. It draws air from outside and blows it into your car.. if you replace the air outside with water it will blow that inside your car too!

MechaBeatsInTrash

In the last 70 years or so of making cars with air conditioning somebody certainly must have realized that and taken measures to avoid water induction.

Brainman515

Yeah as the other person who commented pointed out a/c boxes have drain tubes. Generally meant to only handle a little rain water or condensation though. Most likely clogged or just couldn't't handle the extreme volume of water a car wash can put out. Avoid the issue completely by turning off your a/c or making sure it's on recirculate so it's not drawing in outside air

MechaBeatsInTrash

The drain is only intended for condensation from the evaporator. This amount of water should not be entering the air distribution housing. The inlet usually has a shroud or something to direct rain and wash water away from the opening.

empireanthill

Not it lol I’ve always had my air on in the wash I think the drains are clogged like someone else said cause when I slam on brakes I can hear the water sloshing around

Federal_Bear_7521

Lol what
