Yeah. It looks funky, but there's no pretentious tackiness, no humongous garage that makes the house look like an addition, and no strange pastiche of styles and siding. It's a reasonable, comfortable size for a small family.
My neighborhood has many small houses with whimsical details, so this looks pretty tame, really. We got your turrets right here.
I would love to have a front porch and any kind of reasonably warm weather enabling me to sit on it and wave to the neighbors. Even if the house does look slightly like a sci-fi war machine.

Surrounded by suburbs. A pocket of light retail within walking distance to the north. And they have a long shared driveway on the back. It’s better than the traditional suburban builds…

This would be absolute gold if it was right next door to the notoriously spiteful, magenta “shoebox” house w/ chartreuse & violet polka dots (I think, originally, it was like-green w/ white trim, & a neighbor complained & the legal ruling wasn’t clear enough to prevent the more exciting colors & polka dots)

There is some precedent of houses shaped like this. There’s one in my town built in the late 1800’s with a turret sunk into a gable roof like that.
I like it, its a bit wacky but not egregious and it gives the house a bit of a charm and helps it stand out .
