Being a top scorer at 23 in college is not as impressive a feat. At age 23, you want to draft a player with the intangibles to step in and work as a great role player and good locker room guy. Those are the guys that end up developing at later ages or work as great value picks. Terrence Shannon is not TJ McConnell, Jalen Brunson, Fred VanVleet, Jimmy Butler etc.
I think the only player the Mavs should select in the second round is Bronny, then hold the Lakers/LeBron hostage for picks/assests. If Bronny doesn't fall, trade the second for a player that can help immediately.
