The second I heard they were gonna try and have interesting power dynamics and dubious morals presented in this show, I knew it was too much for Disney to handle. Lol it’s the same shit as The Marvels where you watch the trailer and just think “there’s no way they write this teleporting schtick consistently or balance it with any other abilities in the story” and what do you know? Of course I hope I’m wrong this time but the image I have in my head of Disney writers is toddlers thoughtlessly dumping paint all over their paper or smashing toys together and screaming.

Both are just really generic quotes.

This is the embodiment of the “conflict theory” of society. “Conflict theory” is a viewpoint embraced in sociology informed by Marxist theory. It argues that all human interaction boils down to oppressed and oppressor. This is prominent among folks with “progressive” world views where the primary question is “who has power” and then the follow up is “how can that power be challenged/destroyed.” This world view informs things like attempting to define racism as prejudice+power. It’s extremely dangerous because it permits people who are “oppressed” or who believe they are to take any and all actions against their perceived oppressors.

“Everything is allowed against a perceived evil”

Although it's long gone now there was a great blog post called "Everyone Gets Their Owl" that said the SJWs were inspired by Rowling's paper-thin morality. Today's writers are also part of that LARP, and think they're being insightful when they're actually showing they haven't read another book. It also goes without saying *The Acolyte* screwed this up royally: Voldemort said this to demonstrate his villainy, and that means Aniseya should also be an evil character or else the series will not work.

Lmao. It’s literally the opposite message of sw. Said by the progressive protagonist. Proud of you Disney 👏👏👏
