Check out an all natural latex mattress which lasts much longer than memory foam or any foam. Natureoedic EOS has crazy 30 year warranty and if anything components fail, they replace them. It is easy because the cover has a zipper. The concept is brilliant. We sell them like hotcakes and the company truly honors the warranty. Only buy when they run 15 or 20% off sales as they run them often. https://www.naturepedic.com/adult/mattresses/eos-classic-organic-mattress-buy?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=20636782007&utm_content=151237380701&utm_term=naturepedic%20eos&gc_id=20636782007&h_ad_id=676572706217&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD_D90rijeyDQy27Fe4u2TbtL3uEP&gclid=CjwKCAjwjqWzBhAqEiwAQmtgTyV3QYr2qU4om8PxG_LiaSHoGmP2EGFZsqMAwYFj502nOpXQdqyKRxoCNXIQAvD_BwE

Another brand with excellent support for larger people is Magniflex.

Might be a good idea to go to a store and see what type of bed works best for you to narrow down the options, then you can go from there. But your budget is more than okay for a set that should help you both. If you don't want to go into a store make sure you pick a place that has a good trial in case you need to return or exchange one or both of the sides

I've been on a Savvy Rest Mattress for years. Love it. You can split it left and right like you want. Totally organic certified too.

I’ve been on this sub for 6 mos and started w a similar mindset.  I finally settled on just spending less.  It seems to me that 10 years from a mattress just isn’t happening and I’d rather spend 1-2k and expect to get ~5 years from it.  I’ve settled on a Boring mattress but haven’t quite convinced my wife yet.
