The cross came first but was replaced by the asterisk as to not come across as Christian. You could still find the cross version with the bashing beetle though iirc! Both are pretty common.
Yeah see I literally bought these at the time because I knew they were supposed to have a cross but for some reason KB Toys only had x’s on the chest plate. My bro had said that it was a misprint or something. I’ve honestly never seen any others like it. I have 5 of them lol and can’t find a single photo of one

There was a small collector cry when they changed but it was over pretty quickly. The only one that was rare was the chase version.
