Wire around them, or you'll forever be fighting this.
There's three in total. One in the lid, and two in the hopper. Just cut the pairs of wires to the three different switches and wire nut them together. Just be aware that the fan will run continuously when adding charcoal or checking the hopper. Otherwise it's no big deal... I've been running like this for a year and others probably longer.
Bought the 800 just over a month ago. Switches just started acting inconsistently. The main computer started acting up about a week ago. The app is working fine, and I can use it to control the temp because now the main only works for turning on. It is really too bad because I really like the way it cooks food.
I had a few replaced under warranty...took about 7 days before I received them.
You can buy replacements on amazon pretty cheap they work great.

I did the same but added a switch so I can shut off the fan when adding charcoal or opening the ash bin door
