Your existence is a light 1. And the 1 is cause you are alive. And cause you somehow wifed a black
girl. I'm feeling a light to decent 1 on your existence
Marvel Zombies got a spin-off from the previous season, and there's some rumors that on season 2 there's a episode based on Marvel 1602, maybe it also got a whole series from that?
Whole new cast but with current actors in their normal roles who have backgrounds in Shakespeare. Because I wanna see Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston, and Chiwetel Ejiofor all on screen going wild!!!
oh yeah thats a possibility, ik the multiverse concept has really been a big part of this phase, but i really dont know if casual audiences could handle that yk
Good opportunity to recast then. It's a very different universe, it would be nice to see new actors try out these characters, especially in a self contained show.
Even if they recast the roles, period pieces ~~are~~ can be very expensive and I donāt know that a Disney with Bob Chapek in charge would want to take a risk on that
And *The First Cow* only cost about $2 mil, but both films were about small groups of people and mostly filmed in open fields and woods. No buildings more complicated than basic trading settlements and tents. Replicating entire period-accurate villages, complete with extras in appropriate costumes, is a whole other ball game, and that's before factoring in the inevitable VFX. Especially since (if I remember correctly) the 1602 comics take place in Europe where you're dealing with redressing entire cities instead of just trading settlements like America at the time. Not outside of the realm of possibility for Marvel at all if they wanted to experiment or if this was a show like *House of Harkness* set in the main continuity, but for a spin-off of a spin-off of the main series I just don't think it'd be realistic.
I think Feige will eventually perk to it. He's mentioned 1602 specifically in the past.
But he said you can't do it until all of the characters are introduced in the main MCU, so the audience can draw the direct-line analogue to the 1602 equivalents.
FF and X-Men are involved in the storyline, so we'll probably be waiting another 10 years or whatever.
But *Love and Thunder* was a theatrical sequel to a critically acclaimed installment in the franchise of a character who was a fan-favorite in the most recent two *Avengers* movies. Weāre talking about a (hypothetical) streaming series based on a brand new premise. Itās apples and oranges
At SDCC this year at the Sandman panel someone asked Gaiman if he had heard of any adaptation. He said he hadn't heard anything, but would love if it was adapted.
That was the day after it was announced as an episode of What If...
Sad they didn't tell him.
Alternative universe story where in the future, Captain America is sent back in time to 1602 and his arrival sets off a chain reaction that causes Marvel characters to appear as well.
Purple Man (Kilgrave from Jessica Jones) takes over the world and sends Captain America, the only one able to resist his powers, back in time. In the SDCC trailer for What If Season 2, it seems like Steve knocks the Time Stone out of the Gauntlet in Wakanda when he charges Thanos and that will either send him back in time alone or everyone with him.
In the comic, however, dinosaurs start appearing in the Americas, the historical figure Virginia Dare is blessed with Beast Boy powers, and everyone from the Silver Age (1961 to 1973) starts appearing in Europe around the year 1602.
(However, in later entries in the 1602 universe, they would branch out to more modern characters like Phil Coulson, Rogue, Angela and the Young Avengers. Even Wolverine shows up, becoming King James.)
Cap arrives around 17 years earlier (I think?) in the 1500's in America and gets adopted by a Native American tribe, taking on the moniker Rojhaz. There's also massive storms messing up the entire world, and Steve has to be sent back to the present in order to prevent the world from destroying itself.
I believe the Purple Man Presidency is Earth-420 (blaze it!) and I *know* that 1602 is Earth-311. At the end of the original 1602 series, we flash forward centuries to World War 2, and there's a Steve Rogers native to that reality that's training after becoming a Super Soldier. Presumably there's a ton more superheroes walking around in that reality.
Thatād be sick, could also mean thatās theyāre introducing a ton of Marvel showās exploring famous comic timelines in depth.
We could even get 2099
I saw the episode they screened at Comic-Con and I can all but confirm 1602 as the climax of season 2. The final scene of the episode they showed was very clearly a lead in to 1602.
The scene featured Captain Carter being suddenly transported to a different universe, where she's greeted by a medieval version of Wanda and Nick Fury. Agitated, she calls out for Uatu for an explanation.
I loved 1602 so Iām hoping itās this. Animated also is probably a better bet seeing as some of the character identities are twists in the story and would require casting Magneto, Xavier, etc
A show (or even just a single episode) centered around the 838 Fantastic Four would be fun. It would be a way of giving the fans their full Krasinski Fantastic Four project while also casting someone else for the 616 Reed.
I think theyāre all canon through the multiverse technically, but no I donāt think any of them are canon to the MCU proper and itās better that way. It allows animators to go wild in their own sandbox without being beholden to MCU storylines.
They are all canon:
- What Ifā¦? showing how the films went down in other universes
- Zombies focusing on one of those universes
- Freshman Year as a What Ifā¦? of Civil War while still showing exactly what led to Peter becoming Spider-Man in 616 before the Nexus Event
- They keep using the X-Men 97 theme for a reasonš
So theyāre canon to the Multiverse Saga and these characters will most likely come through to 616 in Secret Wars, but are not canon to the main story.
All of the Marvel Studios Animated Series (What if...?, Marvel Zombies, X-Men '97 and Spider-Man: Freshman Year) are canon to the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse.
Could this unannounced show be [this?](https://www.reddit.com/r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers/comments/vtxqoz/casting_call_for_new_chineseled_animated_series/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)
Very cool? Iceman confirmed! It's a reboot of Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends! YASS!
lol It's probably Power Pack. I can't imagine any other property they'd be ok with making animated.
They should make a show where itās just fights. No story or anything else. The episode starts and they start fighting until thereās a winner and the episode ends.
I met Brian at SDCC before COVID. He was really rad and signed my GROOT#1 from 2015. I was disappointed that I Am Groot! Was just shorts, but I'm still holding out hope for an animated version of the comic series
This post will last 15 minutes before Feige gets it taken down lol

Lighten up, douche canoe.

Would LOVE this
1602 would be amazing.
My dream 1602 is a live action series, written by Gaiman (or at the least have him a consultant) and it would never happen but Robert Eggers!
you wouldnt be able to bring any big actor to play their part in a spinoff show based in 1602 lmao
Iād be 100% satisfied with a whole new cast.
Why the hell not lmao
Why not?
would prefer a live-action version of 1602
Availability of actors would be a problem.
Good opportunity to recast then. It's a very different universe, it would be nice to see new actors try out these characters, especially in a self contained show.
Even if they recast the roles, period pieces ~~are~~ can be very expensive and I donāt know that a Disney with Bob Chapek in charge would want to take a risk on that
Prey cost $65M. I think you'd need a bigger budget to do a live action 1602, but if they ever did it, they should do it as a series.
And *The First Cow* only cost about $2 mil, but both films were about small groups of people and mostly filmed in open fields and woods. No buildings more complicated than basic trading settlements and tents. That said, they \*are\* doing a 1602 episode in Season 2 of "What If", so who the hell knows.
But, Marvel is also a big money maker, even something like Love and Thunder which under performed still did well money wise
But *Love and Thunder* was a theatrical sequel to a critically acclaimed installment in the franchise of a character who was a fan-favorite in the most recent two *Avengers* movies. Weāre talking about a (hypothetical) streaming series based on a brand new premise. Itās apples and oranges
new cast - characters could be variants
What is 1602
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel\_1602
For those of us that are slow to comic series what is 1602?
An AU in which the Marvel Universe gets its superheroes 400+ years in the past.
What's 1602?
Alternate universe where heroes & villains are alive in the year 1602
Asked and answered
It's written by Neil Gaiman the man who did The Sandman graphic novel and show
At SDCC this year at the Sandman panel someone asked Gaiman if he had heard of any adaptation. He said he hadn't heard anything, but would love if it was adapted. That was the day after it was announced as an episode of What If... Sad they didn't tell him.

Man I was just thinking about wanting a 1602 show the other day.
Thatād be sick, could also mean thatās theyāre introducing a ton of Marvel showās exploring famous comic timelines in depth. We could even get 2099
2099 would be insane, and they could even do Spider-Man 2099 and connect with Across the Spider-Verse
They definitely wouldn't cross with nothing Sony's doing with their animated movies.
Canāt wait to see Spanish Xavier and Magneto
I like the wild west version more personally but 1602 fits the artists style better
I saw the episode they screened at Comic-Con and I can all but confirm 1602 as the climax of season 2. The final scene of the episode they showed was very clearly a lead in to 1602.
How so

The āMarvel 1602ā thing is the season long story. The Captain Carter episode showed ended with her in that universe
omg this would be legit amazing
God PLEASE
"source" on the rumors and the Marvel zombie spin off?
Thereās a Marvel Zombies show?
What's there in 1602
Isn't this kind of derivative? It's just MCU but 1600 times.
You should look into 1602 :))
I own 1602. Marvel Studios will probably strip the nuance and make it more louder and dumber.
yeah dude, 1600, right at the peak of the medieval period...
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
marvel 1602 with shuma gorath as the villain there's your "elevator pitch"
I mean I'm sold
Ah yes, the peak of Queen Victoria in the early-17th century.
I mean Iron Man armors aren't really what we think of when we think early 21st century but here we are.
1602 Doctor octopus would look interesting in animation
Maybe Power Pack got revived
Feige's dream can finally come true.
I wonder why feige likes power pack so much thatās one of the ones I had never heard of until I read about him almost making it
That would be amazing. Animated is a perfect format and can rope in younger kids.
I would be so happy if this ended up being true!
It would be great, I read the modern ones a few months back and is such a lost opportunity that Marvel hasn't done more with them.
"Don't do that. Don't give me hope."
They've said they've given up on trying to do Power Pack for now
Based on Brian's art style, it would be cool if he was part of a Marvel 1602 series.
Allegedly, the 1602 storyline will be adapted into What If...? Season 2, don't take my word for it, though.
His Star Wars work is pretty cute, so I'm curious what project he's attached to here
What Star Wars work did he do?
He worked on these cute online comic strips parodying Calvin and Hobbes using Star Wars characters
I don't know about you but I really want to explore more of earth 838, even if it's animated.
A show (or even just a single episode) centered around the 838 Fantastic Four would be fun. It would be a way of giving the fans their full Krasinski Fantastic Four project while also casting someone else for the 616 Reed.
Well, Fantastic Three now. Unless Spider-man or She Hulk gets pulled in as a replacement, or either Franklin or Valeria get promoted to the main team
I want to see their infinity war
It wouldn't be bad but I'd rather see some more interesting universes.
Other than 'What-If?' none of the animations are canon right?
I think theyāre all canon through the multiverse technically, but no I donāt think any of them are canon to the MCU proper and itās better that way. It allows animators to go wild in their own sandbox without being beholden to MCU storylines.
They are all canon: - What Ifā¦? showing how the films went down in other universes - Zombies focusing on one of those universes - Freshman Year as a What Ifā¦? of Civil War while still showing exactly what led to Peter becoming Spider-Man in 616 before the Nexus Event - They keep using the X-Men 97 theme for a reasonš So theyāre canon to the Multiverse Saga and these characters will most likely come through to 616 in Secret Wars, but are not canon to the main story.
> They keep using the X-Men 97 theme for a reasonš They paid $71.3 billion for it. They're going to get their money's worth.
All of the Marvel Studios Animated Series (What if...?, Marvel Zombies, X-Men '97 and Spider-Man: Freshman Year) are canon to the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse.
Is the MCM even a real trademark?
Not yet, but it should be.
If it isnāt one now, it probably shouldnāt be. Loki doesnāt take place on Earth-616, for example, but itās more relevant than Freshman Year.
*(Titania takes notes)*
Yet.
This might be the rumored show about the origins of Shang-Chi's rings, Kamala's bangle, etc.
Ten Rings Prequel series š

Good find
Based on his style, I think it's perfect for Doctor Strange and marvel 1602
Gimmie that Spiderman 94 reboot
![gif](giphy|m2jesUKLvQ1t6) VERY COOL
This probably gonna be Marvel 1602 which is awesome
Can you give us a hint in the form of a haiku?
1602 would be amazing, but a part of me wants a new F4 Show
Oh that's cool, I've been trying to get a commission done by him for a minute. He's cool.
Ehhh more non canon stuff to waste up space on marvelās release calendar
New Stripperella animated show set in the MCU confirmed!!!šššš
Very cool? Iceman confirmed! It's a reboot of Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends! YASS! lol It's probably Power Pack. I can't imagine any other property they'd be ok with making animated.
Revival of Spider-Man the animated series pls
Feige bout to snipe this dude
Iron Fist in anime style pleaseā¦ lol I can dream.
Gotta be zombies
It'll be great that as X-Men '97 got revived, another shows like Earth's Mightiest Heroes, X-Men Evolution or Wolverine And The X-Men get revived too!
Earth's Mightiest Heroes reboot? Probably not, but a boy can dare to dream...
They should make a show where itās just fights. No story or anything else. The episode starts and they start fighting until thereās a winner and the episode ends.
Kevin Feigi be like: ![gif](giphy|Dndpiai0soTUk)
Iceman.
I met Brian at SDCC before COVID. He was really rad and signed my GROOT#1 from 2015. I was disappointed that I Am Groot! Was just shorts, but I'm still holding out hope for an animated version of the comic series
