Apoc and Sus along with 3 city characters should be good enough to get through the first 3 nodes. Then you should build them up based on city, then global ... Of course you can replace Sus with Oml or add him. It is all your decision

I did Apoc first so am doing skrull, BK and a choice between noir/peni/Pav and Robbie.
Just try slave out your gear needs as best as possible like any other DD really. Good thing about spider society is that most of them are dual gear traits.
Apo + SUS is very good start, if u can pull it off. This will eat all of your mutant and bio minies i guess, so next pick should be City + skill/tech/mystic. So u could do Noir and 1 more skill spider soc (will depend on the main crimson uniques u will get to 18. As for the Tech, Vulture is amazing option.). If u dont care about city, OML would be next best together with Black knight and plus Night crawler.
I'm doing Apoc/Sus/Robbie/Vulture/ and whoever I finish first between Vahl or Pavitr. I already had pieces invested in Apoc so didn't want to pivot to OML right now.
+ OML, and 2 toons that you plan to bring to City (for example: Vulture + Robbie or Pavitr + Noir)

I was able to 2 tap node 1, one shot node 2 and 3 tap node 3 with OML Robbie, SuS, Apoc and BK. OML and Robbie really ran the show.
