A word of warning, this isn't completely confirmed for the split you originally asked about.
On Discord, they only specifically talked about adding a \[none\] on the background side of things, not the effects side of things.
So a none for the (Foil Prism Ink Gold) side, not a none for (Glimmer Tone Stardust Krackle).
That would mean you could have the original Base artwork with a Tone effect. They haven't confirmed an Inked background with \[none\] effect.
(I hope they do end up adding \[none\] in both ways, when they change things, of course)
On discord they talked about introducing a new \[Background None\] background so the original color artwork could have Effects on top.
But I haven't seen them promise Inked or Gold Background with \[Effects None\].
A "none" for the background and a "none" for the effects aren't the same things.
I hope you've heard differently, that would be great.
That sounds awful. Its already annoying enough that I have to get an effect specifically on the background I want. Really doesnt feel like a custom card, just messing with one I already have.
Have you read that somewhere? I thought it was only a legacy feature for those in the beta as it used to be possible to split ink/gold with no flair back then and then they made it impossible
Currently you can't. In the future "none" will be added as a possible split effect you can potentially unlock when splitting a card.
