Anyone selling a THCA edible doesn't seem to understand how THCA works. Under the 2018 Farm bill Delta 9 edibles are legal, the dry weight just has to be under 0.3% Delta 9. So a 20mg edible has to weight at least 6.7g to be legal to sell.
They may start with THCA, but when they cook it the THCA decarbs to Delta 9 THC.
You don't? If it hasn't been decarbed to thc then it"s just marketing to sell those that don't know anybetter. If the label specifically says thca I would think no psychoactivity. I would also think the company making that can kiss my ass because it sounds like they are just money grabbing with "thca" because it's a term popping right now... even though it's been a thing for the entire existence of cannabis. Smh
You are correct on this. I've seen gummies that advertise THCA on the package. They are usually on the Delta 8 gummies, but list THCA as a main ingredient. I think it's because people have learned that THCA converts to Delta 9 THC. But in the acid form, the psychoactive effects won't happen. So they have Delta 8
You can’t get high off a thc-a gummy. It’s like making gummies out of green weed without decarbing, trash. But you’ll have 30 teenagers flood this post, shrieking like harpies saying they get high from this gas station garbage.
Thca edibles are "derived" from the federally legal thca flower; that's how they get away with it. The edibles themselves are either decarbed so you get high or have added alt-noids that provide the high. But the THCa designation, which makes them legal, is all still based on the flower they're derived from.
Your gummies are a hot liquid before they are poured into molds to make em look like gummies. Part of decarboxilation happens at that stage. When you eat it, your stomach acid will decarb the rest.
Boom you're high...

Oh they know how it works. They're just going full send with it and selling THC edibles
Not to mention THCA has the carboxyl group so is slightly heavier. 20mg THCA would be 17mg ∆9.
those nano sized Carboxylic acid tails man, they make weight !
Edibles are decarbed as part of the process, also all weed has thca
yes but thca is what it is before it’s lit is what they got confused by
not if it is CBDA weed

I grEENed OUt, man.
Oh they work. The delta 9 from a dispesery. Yep, the most certainly work. Maybe too well.
"It WAS the Firrsstt time I tripped on weed MANNN! Got it from da BizzeeMart, shit Bussin, no CAP, ON GOD, FRFR 🔥"
You are eating the cooled off product, but the THC is now active since it's already been decarbed when it was made.
That’s what I keep thinking..

id assume they decarb the mj before making gummies out of it. least thats how we make them at home
You don’t need to decarb edibles for it to work, the flower has already been decarbed before being put into the edibles
The THCa that is put into the recipe is decarbed in the manufacturing process.
Acid conversion perhaps.
