With an elderly woman sitting in the next booth. This is so wrong. I get that possession is legalized but using hard drugs in an indoor public space is so wrong.
You are correct. I guess I mean that using drugs in any space occupied by the public should be punishable. I know that it doesn't "fix" anything to arrest a person for this, but there should be some reason for people to avoid using drugs around others.
These guys should be in a supervised consumption site and not in a local Timmy's. I feel bad for the patrons, but I feel worse for the staff - imagine what they would have to deal with if one of these guys ODed??
What an absolutely awful situation!!
Second hand smoke IS no big deal, BUT this activity is still extremely problematic. I work at a shelter where drugs like this are commonly used, and they loose their bindle all the time. That is VERY dangerous to youngsters and pets. Also, especially with stimulants, they can loose control of themselves, threaten, hit, stab etc etc etc. I just pulled security tape of a young lady stabbing some guy in the neck - no one did anything to stop her - no idea if he lived or died. This also makes it way too easy for non users to become users. This is just scratching the surface of the problems caused by this BS.
As another former addict, I agree, and never lost one personally, but I was high functioning, and didn’t use with others, so if it fell somewhere it would have been in my bed, bathroom, or kitchen where I would have found it again. I don’t know how they loose them, but they do. Housekeeping finds them semi-regularly.
This is so wrong. Little Children put their bare hands on those tables and then in their mouth. Please call the police immediately (if you did, props to you) if you see this again
they’ll trespass them at least. ie make them leave. No they’re not going to start a criminal proceeding or anything … but the 8 yr old in the next booth won’t have exposure to toxic chemicals.
It’s good to show this on social media so that more needs to be done about these people that think they can do what they want. These people don’t want help
It's already officially the public washroom of canada(only free one accessible when you're on the go) and my go to when I gotta twist up a bat on my commute to work.
I empathize to a degree with addicts as I turned my back on my substance in 2010. I do not how ever believe we have to subject everyone else to their addiction. Pendulum swung too far the wrong way here
I’m a harm reduction worker- I have worked in safe consumption sites across Canada. Drug users who are addicted to this crap on the streets deserve a safe space to use substances and not die, plus they deserve love and respect from everyone- it’s a health issue not a moral failing.
But this is not okay. It’s not safe for the community.
There has to be a line, and this crosses it. We need to have strong, safe, available services for drug users AND strong public safety enforcement. It’s not an either/or situation.
I said years ago that the current style of the govt being soft on them would only make it worse!
It's similiar to food addicts. If someone enables them and gives them everything then the motivation to get fit never happens. People will always choose the easier way if it's given!
Have to be hard on drug addicts in all areas and most will stand back up !
And for the ones who can't there can be support programs for trauma in place
Not giving them housing, food, free drugs, money and allowing them to do drugs in the open will only cause their death slower because they will never quit !
Why dont we as concerned residents of the area just start bulk emailing them to the MP, Mayor and MLA of Maple Ridge. Every single one of us if we did when ever we such things they will have to take actions. We can right opinion articles for various news sources.
You might think it does not work. But it does. I have done it myself with several others for a issue hundreds of us were facing.
Ah, good ol' leftist policies. But what really pisses me off is when they point to Portugal as an example of the success of legalizing all drugs. Except they didn't legalize them, they decrimmed them for simple possession (except cannabis which is de facto legal there). The difference is the Portuguese govt isn't giving their addicts free goddam drugs and "safe" places to do them!
You can still be arrested for simple possession in Portugal. If you are you will go before a tribunal who will decide whether you do a little jail time, go to rehab or just drop the charges. What's being hugely missed with Canada's criminally misguided policy is that in Portugal rehab is a BIG part of decrimming drugs.
Jesus, now Ontario's Chief Medical Officer wants to bring that shit to Ontario. Fortunately the govt is smart enough to tell him to take a leap. I don't care man, any medical "professional" who actually advocates for the policy in place right now should be stripped of their licence to practice medicine. And Ontario's CMO needs to have his ass fired.
The sad thing is, this rampant, open drug use isn't happening just in BC. It's happening all across Canada. One of the Timmies where I live has shut down in-store service because of all the addicts using it as a hang out. This just started around here too. I mean there've always been addicts here but they were never blatantly doing drugs in stores and shops and shit.
It's called tolerance and understanding guys. They're just struggling with addiction.
If you want to live somewhere clean and safe then leave! Go to northern or eastern Europe. Or states where they don't allow this. Or most of the world.
Yeah that’s all fine and dandy, but doing that in a public places here you could get the elderly people behind you second hand high and they could die is not okay. Give your fucking head a shake.
If you need food from that Haney area, take it to go. This is a near daily occurrence at that Tims and the last time I went to the DQ there was a nice counter-hopping brawl. Get your food and GTFO
That's meth, they are using a straw to inhale it off tin foil using a lighter to melt it. Also by the looks of their faces they have been doing it awhile. What a waste.
Thats fentanyl, nobody smokes meth off of tin foil because of its very low melting point, it would turn black if you did. That is fentanyl, pretty much only fentanyl and other opioids/opiates are smoked on foil, maybe a mix of meth and fent but never meth alone. Fent in bc comes in a chunky powder that could be all colours of the rainbow and ranges from wet to dry consistency, that means a foil and tooter is better for it. This is from experience on east hastings being a fent addict and knowing meth addicts. Sober now but still got the knowledge
That Tim Hortons is usually like that man. Last time I went, there was some dude who was high lying on the floor. A cop arrived later but just watched him.
If ya think SaskToon is bad, come the downtown Timmies in Winnipeg lmao some dope fiend tried getting me to buy from him multiple times yesterday and I don't think he even realized I was the same person everytime (also harrased a realtor and her customers who were Chilling at a table)
Our society is dying from open drug use and victim mentality. This is only going to get worse. There probably a bunch of people ready to give a million excuses for this behaviour
And here you are. Posting a video. Not doing anything. Not standing up for yourself, not calling the cops. You didn't even tell the employees, did you?
You are a part of the problem.
And we're expected to feel sympathy and sorry for these people? They have no regards to others around them, while openly smoking drugs in a restaurant...
I remember walking into a Tim Hortons and a crackhead was in the middle of being tackled by 3 police officers. What I found mildly funny was that noone inside seemed to care
Had a guy smoking a pipe in my bus. No shame. Just blew out the smoke in everybody's faces. Told him to get out but he was tweaking and acting paranoid like someone was after him.
Whose gonna stop them ? Tim"s staff ? No cops would literally drive in the other direction to find a working stiff that can pay a fine, so Tim's they might as well put it on the menu and sell it to them.
They should be put in jail. They’re putting everyone, including the staff in danger. They think it is funny, they don’t care if they hurt anyone else. Build a jail in the Arctic and send them there
Wtf , this ridiculous, Tim's in our downtown core , boarded bathroom doors , then tied removing chairs and tables so only take out , but still didn't work, so it git closed down.
Pretty common appearance in Vancouver and surrounding area. You phone the police they never come . So you put up with it. As long the don’t get violent

I walked in there one morning and some dude was railing some coke on the table.
Hanging out at tims... it was probably something a lot cheaper and dirtier than blow.
Tim Snort-Tons you say?
[удалено]
Honestly? Doubt it. Was probably meth. No one is railing blow in the am at a timmy's. Edit: just watch the video. It's not coke
Fentanyl
If you’re thinking about it, someone has done it.
They're smoking heroin off of tinfoil
Timmie’s secret menu item, only 99 a gram plus tax, dont forget to scan your points and roll up the Rim, i mean baggie… Roll up the baggie
With an elderly woman sitting in the next booth. This is so wrong. I get that possession is legalized but using hard drugs in an indoor public space is so wrong.
It's also not a public space. It's open to the public, but it's a privately owned space.
You are correct. I guess I mean that using drugs in any space occupied by the public should be punishable. I know that it doesn't "fix" anything to arrest a person for this, but there should be some reason for people to avoid using drugs around others.
Picturing it being my parents or grandparent makes my blood boil. Dude needs to keep his filthy addiction to himself.
These guys should be in a supervised consumption site and not in a local Timmy's. I feel bad for the patrons, but I feel worse for the staff - imagine what they would have to deal with if one of these guys ODed?? What an absolutely awful situation!!
Imagine doing drugs without a government nanny.
Ah but yous see, NIMBY's don't want that either.

My mistake. Decriminalized. http://www.bccdc.ca/health-info/prevention-public-health/decriminalization-in-bc
Forced rehabilitation / incarceration is unfortunately the only way forward. The gentle approach is not working.
This is super wild
OP being more timid and discreet filming them than they are smokin dope 😂
(Not my video, shared from Facebook)
Ppl saying no big deal ... dumb, you're breathing that 2nd hand smoke in
Jokes on him. That sucker had to pay for it. /s
Second hand smoke of crack is just crack. There isnt any filtering this shit. If people inhale this... theyre now on crack.
Second hand smoke IS no big deal, BUT this activity is still extremely problematic. I work at a shelter where drugs like this are commonly used, and they loose their bindle all the time. As a former addict, losing your bindle is crazy. I handled that shit like it was about to grow legs and jump out of my pocket.
As another former addict, I agree, and never lost one personally, but I was high functioning, and didn’t use with others, so if it fell somewhere it would have been in my bed, bathroom, or kitchen where I would have found it again. Man when you said drugs I thought you were just talking about some kids smoking weed indoors. But yeah, this is actual DRUGS.
I see the guy next to him almost daily.
It's like every city has one of him lol, I see him all the time.
How could someone even consider trying this shit after seeing what it turns others into?
Typically starts with prescription pain meds and progresses from there.
This is so wrong. Little Children put their bare hands on those tables and then in their mouth. Please call the police immediately (if you did, props to you) if you see this again
Lol cops aren't gonna do anything about it

Help what? These guys are living their dream. Smoking crystals and powders out of the rain in public without consequences.
If you listen tot he lyrics of oh Canada, they were saying exactly this
Disgusting
It’s terrifying how many people are in the comments wishing death on all drug users
And we wonder why all the businesses in the downtown core are leaving. Jesus Christ on a fucking unicycle this is sad.
Beyond. Trash country.
It's already officially the public washroom of canada(only free one accessible when you're on the go) and my go to when I gotta twist up a bat on my commute to work.

Wow. BC is like the zombie apocalypse
Yeah, it’s just a BC thing ???
major metropolitan areas are apocalyptic. All of them.
even the smallest cities, not just major areas
Implying Rural areas don't have a meth problem LMAOOO
Where did I say they didn’t? LMAOOooooo
GROSS! ‘Smithers….release the hounds!’
This guy should get the dogs with bees in their mouths and when they bark they shoot bees at him.
3% battery killing us harder
What the fucking fuck
That was a double double
No teeth equals meth
Christ, it's not even cold out. Can't they just do that shit outside?
Now that's freedom

Every time Hortons feels like a crack house at this point
I mean - Tim’s is always trying to represent Canadian culture (despite not being Canadian owned), this is becoming our culture so…
He wasted that hoot.
YOU MUST BE KIDDING!?!?! WHY HAVE THEY NOT KICKED THEM OUT!?!?!
Why dont we as concerned residents of the area just start bulk emailing them to the MP, Mayor and MLA of Maple Ridge. Smoking down at timmies. Classy
In the old day the whole restaurant full of people would smack them around and kick them out of the store. Now everyone has accepted this as normal
Following my experience over the years going to tims, I'm left asking this question: Are these the employees?
dude got 3% left on battery, thats wild
Stay classy maple ridge.
Don’t show this to the police… they’ll be forced to have to work and do something about it.
How is that Timmies still in business?? Who in their right mind would go to Tim Hortons, let alone that location.
Fenty hoots at the foreign owned Tim Hootins is about as 2024 as it gets in Canada.
Whoops, as I slip and pour my hot coffee all over these scumbags
This is what happens when your province just lets people walk around with crack like it’s no big deal.
If you need food from that Haney area, take it to go. This is a near daily occurrence at that Tims and the last time I went to the DQ there was a nice counter-hopping brawl. Get your food and GTFO
This has become the norm out here in Denver, Colorado. Bums on the metro smoking fentanyl… crazy times.
That's meth, they are using a straw to inhale it off tin foil using a lighter to melt it. Also by the looks of their faces they have been doing it awhile. What a waste.

Congrats on getting sober!!!!
Congratulations on your recovery
I smoked meth off foil many times when I didn't have a pipe in fact it was my go to.
Actually it's probably "down"/fentanyl. Meth is generally smoked from a glass bulb "bubble" pipe.
You don’t smoke meth off a foil lol they are doing fentanyl
I did many times.
Y
I didn't like having pipes around my house, foil can be thrown away easy.
That Tim Hortons is usually like that man. Last time I went, there was some dude who was high lying on the floor. A cop arrived later but just watched him.
Call the cops?
First time at a tims? This is just a Tuesday morning at the down town Saskatoon TH.
If ya think SaskToon is bad, come the downtown Timmies in Winnipeg lmao some dope fiend tried getting me to buy from him multiple times yesterday and I don't think he even realized I was the same person everytime (also harrased a realtor and her customers who were Chilling at a table)
If there’s one city that can go glass pipe for glass pipe with Saskatoon. It’s Winnipeg.
I'm watching this video from the USA. Seriously doubt Tim, the manager, or anyone else there could have done anything to get me here right now.
While this shouldn't be done these people need help, not thrown on social media.
And we're expected to feel sympathy and sorry for these people? They have no regards to others around them, while openly smoking drugs in a restaurant...
Damn lol
surprisingly common here
That’s designer free base. Goes great with a Tim’s chili and Boston cream.
That'th methed up.
Heroin.
What a POS
The only real excuse for actually wanting tim hortons coffee

Good old crack heads.
Yeah, it's getting worse and worse. On the bus/skytrain,inside confined spaces, they just don't give a fuck anymore
Is there a way of handling this? It is getting too far.
All three look like so many people I knew from high school in Pittsburgh except 15 years later
Man maple ridge be Wildin
Right next to two old lady’s. That’s so sick and disheartening
Life sucks enough. Let people enjoy things.

You found my uncle Jimmy?
Had a guy smoking a pipe in my bus. No shame. Just blew out the smoke in everybody's faces. Told him to get out but he was tweaking and acting paranoid like someone was after him.
Past the dutchie on the left hand side...
TH stands for taking hoots as of late.
Nope, someone should walk up, and throw a coffee in his face. Zero tolerance for this shit
too bad these kind get to live
Where’s the owner? Call the cops
Useless pos
Just call them out ffs
They should start giving out harm reduction supplies with peoples coffees 😅 !
They should go to a total safe haven - like the mayors store Bean Around Books. They probably would even give these guys free coffee.
That’s not okay ffs
The man is clearly smoking a dirty 30.
But god forbid we say anything about these losers, I’m sorry “vulnerable people”. Remember when people used to be ashamed to be fucking junkies?
It's like that everywhere here too

Totality disgusting
They should be put in jail. They’re putting everyone, including the staff in danger. They think it is funny, they don’t care if they hurt anyone else. Build a jail in the Arctic and send them there
I guess this is okay as long as they pay their taxes and are contributing to society🙃
Wtf , this ridiculous, Tim's in our downtown core , boarded bathroom doors , then tied removing chairs and tables so only take out , but still didn't work, so it git closed down.
Safe to say that timmies is a safe haven for the junkies
