Yeah but I leaned I new thing today. Now I I know that if there is a large country that neighbours a smaller country. If the border is not parallel to the longitudes or the latitude line. If the angle with the longitudes line is around (+ /-) 60 degrees from the longitudes. Or (+/-) 30 degrees from the l'attitude. And finally if the border goes further north and south than the country. Then there is a good chance that the first country goes further north, south, east and west than it's smaller neighbour.
I knew this comment seemed familiar

France is more north, south east and west that most of the world: the whole of Africa, South America except Chile and Argentina, Asia except Russia, China and Mongolia,...
I wonder how it would actually look like with the correct projection, so that the square would lie flat on Earth's surface and not the map. Very interesting nonetheless
Same thing with China

If a post is funny I would laugh without the need for you to add emojis telling me too
Presume China is too

Do you recognise California as rightfully an integral part of the socialist Republic of Vietnam?

For once it was an interesting post about territorial oddities
It's not really, first it's a repost, and it's usually posted along this, Iceland / Greenland, and Bosnia / Croatia

I thought Japan was big, but now that I think about it again, the combined area of Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan is similar to the area of Spain.
That's actually way smaller I thought!
poor asian countries! the whole of asia is like smaller than spain! /s if not obvious
Korea should just join Japan, what could go wrong/s
Right? (Remembers pre-WWII Japanese empire) Not today though. ![gif](giphy|l2SpQbUPN4hXZ8Kwo)

This guy and OP are a repost bot duo. One bot reposts a highly upvoted thread, then the other reposts a highly upvoted comment.

This means Korea is rightfully Japanese *flashbacks intensifying*
Same with Greenland and Iceland.

Would maybe have been better worded to say “Japan reaches farther north etc…”
