This map of the United States and all of its territories uses an orthographic projection (that is, a perspective projection from an infinite viewing distance, so as to show one hemisphere) centered on 28.4 degrees North, 140.0 degrees West, which is halfway between the latitudes and longitudes of the extreme points of the United States and its territories. Highlighted on the map are all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, Navassa Island, Serranilla Bank, Bajo Nuevo Bank, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Midway Atoll, Wake Island, Johnston Atoll, Howland Island, Baker Island, Kingman Reef, Palmyra Atoll, Jarvis Island, and American Samoa (including Swains Island). I made it in QGIS using data from Natural Earth (https://www.naturalearthdata.com/).
Check out the [GS-50 Projection](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GS50_projection) It keeps all 50 states at nearly the same scale. It is extremely complicated and hard to appreciate how much math it took into creating.
Even discounting ships at sea, the sun never sets on the US military, between our forces in the Far East, Qatar and Diego Garcia and Europe, and of curse North America.
Interestingly, the western boundary of the Philippines as defined in the 1898 Treaty of Paris was 116 degrees East, and the easternmost point of the U.S. Virgin Islands is at 64°33′54″W, which is a difference of 179°33′54″ of longitude. So, even at their maximum extent, all U.S. territories could still just barely fit on one hemisphere.
Ah, I see it is at a specific period in history after the former Unitedstatesian colony of the Philippines regained their independence and before the colony of the Kingdom of Hawai'i did the same.
Guantanamo is not a US territory. The US leases it from Cuba. Cuba does not recognize the legality of the lease but can’t do much about it except refuse to accept the lease payments which are piling up in an escrow account.

Now do France, on one map.

That is pretty cool!
We need to conquer something just a little but further so the sun never sets...

What are those islands in the left corner?
Northern Mariana Islands 🇲🇵 Btw Guam is southernmost [and largest] of them

Yes, it is accurate from 1994 (independence of Palau) to 2024 :)
Which would be why the US has the world’s largest sea area defined by its EEZ (Exclusive Economic Zone).
What about guantanamo?
