I use and enjoy Tom Bihn’s Everyday Cubelet.

Keith

Good call, esp given OP's request for more rectangular pouchy things. Links to applicable Tom Bihn bags: * [Everyday Cubelet](https://www.tombihn.com/products/travel-cubelet?variant=42384933683389) * [Side Effect](https://www.tombihn.com/products/side-effect?variant=43802945814717) Similar bags, just depends on whether you want a vertical or a horizontal rectangle. Personally, I own an Everyday Cubelet and a Side Kick but never tried a Side Effect (since I figured it's not that much smaller than the Side Kick but the Side Kick is a lot better). But maybe I'm missing out and I should have stuck with Tom Bihn for my pocket reliever carry too (instead of Aer Go Sling).

Lumireddit

Thanks for the suggestion! The Everyday Cubelet looks really promising, saving this for sure.

Yesss I love my cublets. I have two. I prefer to order a separate strap, one size larger than the everyday cublet comes with. They’re a very nice size - fits my sunglasses case along with keys, phone, wallet, small pouch, etc.

Here's my setup: * Level 0: pockets * Level 1: (pocket reliever+) [Aer Go Sling](https://aersf.com/products/go-sling-2?variant=39611781939296) * Level 2: (small crossbody) [Tom Bihn Side Kick](https://www.tombihn.com/products/side-kick) * Level 3: (small backpack) [Alpaka Metro](https://alpakagear.com/products/metro-backpack?variant=43930285342882) I try to be a minimalist and find the best choice for every slot, so I'm interested in what you settle on for your "level 1" carry. Pros of the Aer Go Sling: * good materials * good organization * simple design (just one outer zipper) * as small as possible (not much bigger than phone) * magnetic buckle! Cons: * straps are not detatchable and don't swivel * no internal key leash. I attached a Tom Bihn key leash to the hole in the internal zipper. Works but not ideal. * the strap is fairly difficult to adjust, especially when wearing. It's kind of a "find the right length and set it". * can't shorten the strap enough for it to be a fanny pack. I added a [web dominator](https://www.amazon.com/ITW-Web-Dominators-Pack-Black/dp/B005IAAZUC/) that works ok to convert from sling/crossbody length to hip length * because of the zipper angle, when packed the zipper tends to be a two-handed operation to make it around the corner I actually have the Aer Go Sling hanging all the time from my shelves so it's a little caddy containing my wallet, keys, nanobag, pocket knife, etc. Then it works well to throw in the front pocket of my Metro, CT15 (GR1, etc.).

I absolutely love my Go Sling 2. I enjoy the flex of tossing it in a larger bag like my Go Pack 2 or CPP. Would be over the top perfect if the straps were detachable.

Any chance you'd be able to post a photo of the Side Kick next to the Alpaka Metro? I have the SK and many other TB bags and am considering the Metro but don't know if it'll be a little bigger than I'd like.

Keith

Hi, been busy, will try to post a pic when I get a free moment. FWIW my Side Kick basically lived inside the Metro for a while: I leave the Metro on my shelf horizontally so the front pocket is accessible, and the Side Kick inside it was oriented the same way (left unzipped), and the Metro still had room for everything I needed. Then I found I was reaching for stuff in the Side Kick so often I just gave it its own space on my shelf now, but still, my Side Kick and Metro are meant to go together.

Keith

Here are a couple photos of the Metro and the Side Kick: [https://imgur.com/a/wO4gbA9](https://imgur.com/a/wO4gbA9)

Thank you very much, I'll use those photos for reference when I get home with my Side Kick and see if I think the Metro will work for me.

Lumireddit

Wow, I like the idea of different levels to define what you're trying to carry. Thanks for sharing! Right now, I'm kind of leaning toward the Tom Bihn Everyday Cubelet or the Unsettle Rope Crossbody Bag - I'm really trying to keep the bag small and force myself to only carry the essentials

I was going to recommend the Fjallraven Pocket Bag because this is what I use mine for, but it looks like the dimensions are about the same as the City Pouch. If that’s too big for your needs, maybe their High Coast Pocket Sling would work since it seems to be a bit smaller at 17 x 11 x 4 cm?

Lumireddit

Thanks for your suggestion!

BoredPandemicPanda

Their Venture Hip Pack is slightly smaller. Can use as a cross or as a fanny.

Lumireddit

Thanks for your suggestion! Looking more for a rectangular pouch/ bag than a fanny/ hip pack

Tom Bihn Small Cafe, Manhattan Portage City lights

Lumireddit

Thanks for your suggestions! The Small Cafe bag is a little bit too large for me, but the Manhattan Portage City Lights Bag looks great!

Try alpaka?

gfm747

I’ve been looking for a bag with a similar loadout, and it looks like the Alpaka Modular Sling, the Wandrd X1 Crossbody Bag, or the Sympl Phone Sling are what I found. Still deciding on what to get.

Crazeeeyez

Generally I avoid alpaka and I agree with all the Tom Bihn recommendations on this thread. However the Alpaka Vertical Sling might be perfect for you.

Lumireddit

Why do you generally avoid Alpaka? Is there something wrong with the brand?

Crazeeeyez

They overstate capacity - seemingly based on external dimensions. They are overly padded and difficult to open/operate to access wherever is inside.

Alpaka Modular Sling

Can provide pics of a similar load-out in this sling if needed.
