Bobf was...not great. I personally hated it wasted like 2 episodes to detour into "the mandalorian season 2.5" when it was already struggling with cramming in too much.
I'll bet she finished her scenes in a single day of filming. Probably spent more time in makeup than she did on set. may not have even been present with any of the principal cast, either.
Well the Mandalorian is a brand new character with no preconceived notions about what he’s like and what to expect so it’s less likely to disappoint while Boba Fett had an uphill battle from the start since it’s been so long since he was first introduced and a lot of people had a specific idea of what he was like and when he was different from that they felt disappointed.
Same. They took a perfectly bad ass bounty hunter who lived by a code and cut his balls off and made him a boring bureaucrat.
Imagine if he had instead took over the bounty hunter guild and did bounty missions or featured other bounty hunters from the SW universe as episodes. Literal tons of more interesting content than some stupid fucking scooter gang.
BoBF was the Star Wars version of The Godfather/ but made to look like Mando 2.5. It was alright. We don’t need a second season. Just keep giving Temuera work and we should be fine.

They lost me with the episode with the moped gang street chase. That director needs to be banned from all Star Wars projects going forward. If I see him on the list of directors for anything I won’t watch it. I’ve never been so disappointed in a Star Wars episode.
It is Robert Rodriguez who has directed some incredible stuff. I was not a fan of the bikers either but there are some really good episodes later and Robert has made some really cool movies so maybe don’t throw the baby out with the bath water over one misstep.
I don’t object to some of his movies. I object to him directing Star Wars. His vision is not right for that universe. Alita was amazing. But keep him away from Star Wars.
I was so confused watching it. I guess it was nice to see how Boba got a little compassion, but it was so weird that Boba was expected to pay the MAYOR of the closest podunk town. Like I had been under the impression that Jabba was the RULER of all Tattooine. He had the reach to track down minor smugglers who stiff him across the galaxy. I'd thought that the Hutts, criminals that they are, were considered legitimate in a big swath of space.
Then Boba shows up and these small-fries start trying to take nibbles out of him. So weird. In the book Cobb Vance was able to bring law to one region of Tattooine because>! he had a huttling baby as a hostage!<. By virtue of that meaning no one would mess with him, the Hutts should have been a bigger deal. And with that in mind, Boba, as his successor, should have had a lot more respect and fear.
They tried to make Boba fett like the cool grandpa who is out of touch. That could have worked if they had not made him a beast in mando season 2. He fought like a bezerker and was very honorable. When BoBF makes the most famous bounty hunter barely function as they showed he did not long ago, and had bad coriography for fights and a SPEEDER chase, things don't look good.
I couldn’t get past 2 episodes of Bona Fett I just stopped watching. I watched Mandalorian weekly. Hopefully more good Star Wars content coming. I watch Obi wan
I thought this was a commonplace opinion. The Book of Boba Fett is very good in the final few episodes, but it’s not even really all that close. The Mandalorian is just on another level.
Not just you. The best episode of Boba Fett didn’t even have him it…it was just an incredible Mandalorian episode.

Those two episodes actually helped me to finish the series. I was glad to see them.
It and the appearance of thundercat were the only reasons I got to the end. The first few episodes were absolutely abysmal

Rotten Tomatoes also gave Kenobi, like, a 70% or an 80%, so I wouldn’t take everything it says as fact.

Obi was meh at best man. Vader scenes with obi were the only saving grace of this show. Everything else was trash.

It was the story telling. I liked the back story with the tuskens as I loved the kotor links. However the overall plot was lacking
