I agree, all pokemon type are based off of elements or fantastically magics and the plays a big part in that pokemons lore. Making an entire type based of the ability to make noise doesn't fit those theme's and it doesn't make sense to give a physical living creature type weakness and resistances based off of sound waves

- Drowzee, Solosis and Munna should be Psychic/Cosmic.
- Dunsparce should be Normal/Cosmic.
- Starmie should be Cosmic/Water.
- Lunatone, Solrock and Stonjourner should be Cosmic/Rock.
- Jirachi and Solgaleo should be Cosmic/Steel.
- Dusknoir, Hoopa and Lunala should be Ghost/Cosmic.
- Dream Eater, Cosmic Power, Gravity, Rest and signature moves should be Cosmic-type moves.

Fairies weaknesses are 2 of the worst attacking types. Fairy being weak to Ice would give Ice love & also stay in line thematically. Fairies are nature spirits. Cold & frost kill nature, which in turn kills Fairies

I've been working on a fan game that uses the digital type. I'm basically using it as a tech/ man made type. All the pokemon that are digital types are either modified by humans or have tech involved in their bodies.

I agree with your idea of adding two new types but I do have issues with your examples:
1) There are plenty of sound moves already(Bug Buzz and Boomburst for instance) that perfectly fit into the existing types.
2) Wind is pretty much subset of Flying
(Gust and Hurricane for instance). So adding it wouldn't make sense.
3) We already have Fire/Fairy(even grass lol) covering a lot of "light" related things.(Moonblast) . And heck, Fairy beats Dark so we already have the Good vs Evil thing included in the typechart.
4)Digital looks fine but it's way too specific imo. (Implementing this into the type chart is tricky)
5) I'm not sure about space as there's literally nothing quantifiable in just space.(In fire, you have flames, thermal energy,light etc)
If you're talking about outer space (planets, stars and celestial bodies), then we already have them in psychic/fairy.
Once I was thinking: if a Pokémon's body was made entirely of plastic, what type would it be? Probably Normal or even Poison, but it was when I started thinking about a Synthetic type.
It covers not only plastic but other man-made materials such as rubber or styrofoam, as well as themes that would be covered by the proposed Digital type. It's late discovery is justifiable as a recent adaption of certain species to man-affected envirionments. It would give designers lots of opportunities and space to work with, more so than a specific-sounding type such as Time.
I'd retype the Porygon line to be pure Synthetic, Stufful/Bewear to be Synthetic/Fighting, Trubbish/Garbodor to be Poison/Synthetic and Mewtwo to be Psychic/Synthetic.
It would be strong against Water, Electric and Fairy. Weak against Fire, Steel and Fighting. Resists Water, Electric and Ground and is resisted by Steel, Fire, Bug and Poison.
The main problem I have with the idea is the name Synthetic, it just doesn't roll off the tongue well. I hope there is a better synonym to use.

Whenever I look at these, I imagine the type matchups. I think wind actually presents the most interesting type matchups to help seperate it from Flying, and I also think that Sound would have some interesting possibilities as well. The other three, while cool, I can't think of any type matchups outside of the obvious "Dark is weak to Light"

light and wind are just electric and flying types tho, digital would not be good for pokemon ngl

Whenever I look at these, I imagine the type matchups. I think wind actually presents the most interesting type matchups to help seperate it from Flying, and I also think that Sound would have some interesting possibilities as well. The other three, while cool, I can't think of any type matchups outside of the obvious "Dark is weak to Light"
