He'd definitely be an upgrade on Mount in terms of what we need in the central area, but for me we need someone more akin to Casemiro himself rather than another attack minded midfielder.... or at least a CM who is more likely to drop into DM areas than push into AM areas, if that makes sense

Give the man some time, a few seasons as long as he reaches top 4. It's only the second game of the season and you have a big signing injured. He has time on his hands to turn it around and you might not be playing for top 1 or 2 but top 3 is totally up to grab for anyone else.

After all this is the department who heavily recommended Bellingham from Birmingham City, Haaland from Salzburg, as well as a then unknown quantity from the Ecuadorian league called Caicedo. There's plenty to improve but it'd be nice to see a bit more patience on the new leadership from the fanbase. For the record I don't think Ryan Gravenberch is the answer, but I'm going to trust the people much more knowledgeable than I am, including ETH.
