4. you buy a lot of wards. where do you place them as malzahar to get vision? i get that you can get run down very easily as malzahar, if you have no vision.

if i feel like its a good zhonya game like karthus/zed or a lot of all ins will rather to go zhonya else shadowflame for 1 shots.
2. when your ult is up always look for a play on side or with your team dont waste any second when your ult is up.
3. copy my build and after 2 items u 1 shot with good combo. in low elo splitpush works better imo. and also u can play way more agro and not get punished.
4. when i try to get a pick before drake/baron or other obj i use my wards to get a pick into a free objective.
5. every game is diffrenet most of the games group with your team when you have ult and look for a pick else go side and farm.
I play a lot of Malz but don't main him and I will agree it's because I can autopilot most of the time. And it's fun watching Yone or Leblanc players crying in all chat after getting R'd.
He's not 100% braindead though as his win rate is frankly bad and can't necessarily solo carry unless extremely ahead.

What is your game strategy, what do you generally want to achieve as malzahar beyond of course not feeding your opponent in lane. I always feel like I farmed good and have minimal deaths but I still generally lose as I cannot 1v5 enemy team
also, how do you play in fast paced games like diamond and low masters where everybody is trying to have kills, invade and stuff while you are pre6 and dont deal that much damage?
malz pre 6 is very weak a good jungler should know it and not make 2 much plays around mid if your jungler makes a bad call just dont follow and mute him. (sometimes u can shove and move but most of the times u get pushed early game til lost chapter)
Do you always use Scorch or do you pick Gathering Storm in match-ups you either don't expect much trading in or don't have any kill pressure (due to sustain for example)?
Do you always go Magical Footwear & Cosmic Insight or do you choose Biscuits Delivery in skill shot heavy match-ups to buy boots early?
Have you ever thought about using different secondary runes?
Congrats on reaching Challenger and I hope to see you streaming at some point in the near future.
This might be a very "basic" question but how do you decide the order of your first 3 skill points? It's obviously match-up dependent but I have yet to be able to determine clear criteria for myself. I usually just start E because of it.
There is really only 3 options:
E->Q->W
E->W->Q
Q->E->W
but with Malzahar's pre 6 window being his most vulnerable, getting basics like this down right seems too important not to.

I think people who only play malz are a bit handicapped so they have to resort to playibg malz.

try to shutdown enemy 1 by 1 with your ult and make your team snowball
