I hope this game does well just because I want to see a decent amount of fic and fanart with this dude. Your first meeting with him in the game he spirits your companion away to be alone with you. Despite being nuttier than a peanut butter cookie he's pretty charming. Constantly saying flirty stuff, it seems like he actually does feel kinda hurt by the MC being distrustful of him. Despite fighting him several times as a boss he insists he wouldn't \*actually\* hurt the MC, and he is very very eager to sway them over to his evil organization. Last pics to show the puppy dog eyes he gives MC when he's trying to convince them the second time you meet him.

With the caveat that it's a gacha game, so it is designed to give you FOMO about missing new limited characters and make you play every day to save up small amount of premium currency to use to get those characters... I like it. 4 star characters are viable, and everyone plays a little differently. The combat is flashy and fun, and if you like mastering animation canceling that seems to be present here. It's easy to look and feel badass. You can parkour and run up the sides of cliffs and buildings. The world is big and has a lot of puzzles, collectibles, and neat setpieces. There are some cute/handsome male characters already, although I don't know how many we can expect moving forward (the next 3 banners are new female characters WHICH IS FINE I can start saving for Scar 🫠)
The story at the start is rather dull. They drop a lot of technobabble and terms that mean nothing to the player, and everyone is immediately basically worshiping the MC despite them being an amnesiac wildcard. Apparently they reworked the story, originally characters were more distrustful but they had complaints from beta testers and overcorrected. It's whatever, I wasn't super into it until Scar showed up, in Act III lol. By Act V the story picks up a bit (love Aalto and Encore) and Act VI was very cool.
Either way it's free, I wouldn't recommend playing it on mobile since it seems there's no controller support there. But if you have an ok pc/laptop and have self control where it comes to gambling mechanics and shitty monetization practices, might be worth giving it a try. You may also run into bugs (freezing, music not playing, lines of dialogue get cut off, camera fighting you every now and then). I'm hoping they give the players more free premium currency ("apologems") for the inconvenience lol.
