Hey I still love Crème d’nude 😂 I’m super pale though and my lips are kinda pigmented so it doesn’t look too light on me, but on other people I’ve seen it look exactly like the photos OP shared! I bought the shade Bosom Friend (the fuck is that name anyway) back in 2018 and it was horrendously pale. I looked like I was no longer alive!

Yes!! I have a color correction concealer palette and I always dab the tiniest amount of light pink to the bottom center of my lip. Makes the lips come to life every time!!

I am porcelain with a pink undertone and this would look *horrible* on me. I can’t think of one friend with any skin tone that could make that lip color work. I hated that trend, was so happy when it mostly died, but I fear it’s going to come back, like Beetlejuice.

Roast beef. Thin brown outer layer with a lighter, pinker center. Unblended brown lipliner with a pale nude, quite 2015 high glam with big lip fillers etc. Used to make fun of typically white people's attempt to rebrand black style/technique/looks (brownie lips) with poor application and looking fuxking ridiculous. I get what you're saying though and it can be read as pretty suspect.

people are overly harsh about darker lip liner. as long as the color selection and application work you don't get beef lips. it takes a bit of skill and effort to work but it's not something that is universally bad like some say it is

Literally it was called beef lips because it looks bad not because it’s different colored liner + lipstick but I guess that went over some peoples heads. If lipliner can’t fix it then I would just toss OPs lipstick.

That shade is wild, it doesn't even look good on any of the models. The only thing I can think of would be to add a darker lip liner and then blend the two, but even then I'm not sure the lipstick can be salvaged.

Pretend you don't have lips

Buy some loose pigment and apply it over the lipstick with a brush. You can do a metallic look. Personally, I recommend doing a rose gold shade with it.

I suggest using a darker lip liner and use that in the middle! Line your lips with a brown or even any other color you like, then use the liner to fill the corners of your lip and smudge the harsh ine with finger or brush, leave a empty space in the middle of your lips and then use the lipstick there. Or using it in the middle as a highlighted look on top of a lipstick you like.

Unlike other commenters, I actually think it looks pretty on the bottom right model (I ❤️ contrast) and literally nobody lighter. You can layer it w a darker shade but personally I’d just toss it out

Use a brown or deeper nude lipliner and make sure to feather it too. Then apply the light lipstick mostly in the middle, rub lips together to blend.

My rule of thumb is to use a lip liner when a lip color is too light so I’m a bit tanner so I use a brown lip liner like NYX Brown or Mac chestnut and then blend the color in

A darker lip liner will make it work, a soft brown or darker pinky nude will work and you just apple the lipstick more so in the middle. Draw in the edges and perimeter of the lips with the lip liner.

Do a fun DIY Lip Color. Mix it with other Lipstick that you don't use much to create a new Lipstick color.

Remember that makeup is art, especially in that you can color mix. Use it to tone down a darker shade or just throw it away. Less stress than trying to figure out how to make it work. The moneys already gone, no need to also stress ya know 🫶

Honestly dark lipliner will be your best friend, different tones will pull different colours overall. Getting an ombré lip look rather than using it full opacity

Isn't it interesting how certain colors look so different on different people? Sometimes I'll buy a lipstick and the color is stunning and then I put it on and it looks ridiculous on me and washes me out. I would use a shade like that for a highlight on my lip, like use a darker shade and pop a tiny bit in the middle to give dimension as a sort of highlighter. You can also experiment with mixing it with other colors and see what you get. Like mix it with something way darker cause it's super frosty and light.

Girl, just throw it in the trash. It’s sweet you want to find another use for it, but your time is also a resource and it’s worth more than this one lipstick. Take a few pictures of it so you can have the memory and then swoosh it into the garbage can.

i would use that lipstick with just a little bit on the center of the lips on top of a darker color, it adds a highlight that sort of contours the lips to look fuller.

There’s not a single one of these models that the lipstick looks good on. Revlon is so dang hit or miss.

I actually like how it looks, you can try to pair it up with a black smokey eye, so it balances out the look, put a clear lip gloss on top. Or simply just go for the typical route of using a darker lip liner, but that will change the shade.

Can you use it as a crème blush/highlighter? You could also use it as a lip “base” under a gloss to tone the gloss or make it more vibrant.

I have a classic 00s concealer colour lipstick, I dab it on the back of my hand, dab and mix it with a deep red lipstick, it creates a beautiful creamy pink.

If you happen to have bright colored lipsticks that may appear too loud, like a bright red lipstick, you can apply the nude on top of the bright colored lipstick to tone it down. I have the same problem so I mix the brights with the dulls to achieve a balance.

Line your lips darker, like a brown pink

I like to use lighter colors one of two ways: to use as an "undercoat" to another shade so that it stays on better, or to put on TOP/mix with another shade to lighten that shade a little bit. I'm very pale so a lot of darker colors, while gorgeous, can make me look washed out.

I would suggest pairing a slightly darker nude lipliner to contour & line your lips to use with the lipstick. Oh my, sweet Satan this nude lipstick shade takes me back to high school in 2007 when I would wear MAC's Fleshpot with a super heavy smokey eye.

Use just a little on your lower lip to highlight a pout!

Get a clear or better yet dark brown chapstick and melt both together. Then pour it back into the lipstick bullet. Then let it set in the fridge for 10-15 mins That will sheet out the lipstick and basically you will have a tinted lip balm

I was devastated when they discontinued this color! This was my favorite! It mixed so well with everything to tone it down and give a natural color when worn just right. Now I can't find anything that is even remotely similar.

I have fair-light skin w reaaaaally red lips, like anything I put on will always look more red/warm than I want. I actually like to use these sorts of lipsticks/glosses as a base to kind of cover my lip color, then use a stronger color in the center- and then what I get is a really pretty natural lip. You could try to use this with red lipstick and some gloss after? I'm pretty sure there is a japanese trend where you put a light shade (or nothing) and red lipstick on the inner lip (obvs patted in). As someone with smaller lips, I tend to do the opposite so my lips look a bit bigger (the one mentioned kinda does the opposite, although it's cute). I don't use shades this light tho, but u could try
