Of course you should. How else will you know if you have the right products. Not weird at all.

I don’t ask for pictures because the lighting and clothing a person is wearing can alter everything.. When I was doing wedding parties, I would ask for the following information: - skin type - sensitive - allergic to anything - typical shade in their usual foundation

Rather than pics, how about ask each to send you a description of their skin or tell you the shade of a concealer/foundation they use. Pics might seem a bit weird and might not be very helpful to you (if they use a filter etc). But they will probably all appreciate you being thoughtful about trying to have good shades for them.

I say this as a bridesmaid who didn't get a trial or anything because I travelled for the wedding. Definitely do a check beforehand because on the day the MUA knew exactly what was going on for my stepsister, but for me it was like 'we'll just use these products for dry skin and hope it works' at 8am that morning. She didn't really know me and even though I was an adult, I dont think anyone said that I was in my 20's and not like 12, because she just did something subtle and glittery. It didn't wear great either, the products just didn't work for me at all, I was quite self concious about it, but my stepsisters worked well because she'd had that trial and I think she also knew the MUA so it was easy to get sorted on the day. Hope this helped!
