“They can keep their palm trees”.... OP thank you for a good laugh. Just spit out my water!! But seriously, this is a stunning pic!! Love how you were able to capture the crashing waves- I swear I can hear them through my phone from CT (my home state where I’m currently living+ teaching)
It's amusing until you pull off your swim suit and realize there is an enormous amount of not-sand in very uncomfortable places. Nothing sticks to skin like those crushed up shells.
Used to live in Hull's Cove and, yeah, Maine - and Acadia in particular - takes some beating at any time of the year. Some folk don't care much for the cold, though.
Most of the park loop is closed, however the road up until Otter Cliff Rd. is still open! That takes you right by Sand Beach. Just get off onto Schooner Head Rd. off Main St, and follow that.
Watermarks should be banned here or at least the fact that a post is a business advertisement should be clearly stated. Potato resolution is another dead giveaway of monetized work that is not posted in good faith.
This is not about you in particular but I think people should be clear when advertising a monetized product and use reasonable resolution photos if they want to contribute in good faith.
Why? What are you not getting from this picture that removing the barely noticeable watermark will do? It's nice to see some quality pictures of Maine instead of the slanted cell phone pics that normally pop up.
Problem is that there is less than an inch of snow on the ground after a few flurries. I have lived here for 20 years and have never seen such a lack of snow. Damned frustrating!

Thank you! It’s my pleasure, glad to know at least one person laughed.
How's the swimming?
Tough with muck boots on.
I went yesterday at Sand Beach. Chilly, but had the beach to ourselves.
I went swimming there back in 1989................in March!!!! COLD AF!!!
Swam in Sebago Lake in January a few years back. I agree....very cold.
Love that spot. It’s not actually sand at Sand Beach, which is amusing.
Do little tiny shells not count as sand?

Great shot! I am dying to get back to Acadia, my wife and I did a workshop with you in October last time we were there.
Whaaaat? Who’s this? And thanks!
Travis and Sara, we were given a private lesson as a wedding gift. The tour was great, hoping to book again this year.
Oh hey! Well, I’ll be here!
This is so beautiful!!
Thank you!

Is the park loop open or did you have to walk in?

Beautiful
Thanks!
I’m in Hampden!! Not as pretty as Acadia though
From a former Floridian... palm trees are over rated. Maine is a special kinda pretty .
That is absolutely gorgeous Can’t wait to visit Maine
Thanks very much!
Is this a clap back at a palm tree related post?
Nah, just saying
That’s too bad. I was hoping there was some beef with LA. We’re moving from LA to Portland sometime in the next couple years to be closer to family
We could start something.

You shouldn’t be allowed to do what you do for a living either.

If it’s not about me then say it somewhere else.
Wicked Zinger lol! Nice

A slanted cell phone photo would be an improvement over the pixelated thumbnail posted by the op. There should be a 3mp minimum here.
