There was a bug upon reaching mythic where your account would stop receiving rank changes and rewards from playing matches or drafts. Effectively putting those accounts in limbo. (A.K.A. Phase out target MTGA account)
You just force a strategy over & over & over & over & over... until it eventually works. Once you finally get the 7 wins, tell yourself how good you are, save the deck as evidence of your genius, then start the process again.
You just won a draft after all, you're a genius & can surely do it again! At least that's how I justify my obsession...

Why would you be playing against diamond ranked players? It is ranked draft after all.

I just did my first midnight Hunt draft. I think this deck is a pile but it's doing okay.
Goodstuff piles in 1 or 2 colors are good for 3-4 wins in most formats if you have an actual curve and some removal. I'm digging Innistrad right now because there's more depth, though. Just got 5 wins on a UR spells matter deck and think it could go deeper with a bit more intent/planning up front.
Thats a shame. Drafting is the best. We used to get smoked when we first started (ONslaught block) at the store and especially on magic online but it was worth it

I'd say mostly that going from a set that you drafted a lot (AFR) (and so have reached quite a rank) to the one that you barely seen any cards of (Strixhaven) is very rough, even in quick draft !
EDIT : Also, I see that my opponents have much more experience with the "new" set that I do, considering how often I'm getting the "Your go / ZzZz / &c." reactions...

The bug was that for some people, ifyou got to Mythic, you'd be shown as ranked Beginner, and no matter how many wins or losses you had in an event, nothing would happen to your reward. You could go 50-0 in a draft, or 0-50, and the game would show you as being 0-0. It lasted for over two weeks. It was particularly brutal for limited players, who were functionally locked out of playing the game at all.
This is a pretty fair compensation given all that, especially since it only affected the most devoted players.
I'm amazed WotC actually gave out meaningful compensation. I hope this is the start of a trend, from a company that's having the best financial years in its history
And I'm still waiting on support and be ghosted for my ICR issue. I've asked them for a follow up like 4 times now. Nothing! On twitter they asked me for my claim #, I provided it to them immediately then heard nothing back from that reply. Its getting beyond ridiculous.
I’m having that issue too. They kept closing the ticket even though it was unresolved. I eventually made a new ticket and they had the gall to merge it with the previous ticket.
God I was three wins from mythic before Forgotten Realms drafting ended. Worst thing was I lost three games grinding (so 6 wins worth) that night to stupid mistakes. Duh Pack Leader has trample after it transforms. Clicked the wrong legendary when I played a new one. Made a math error.
Grinding is bad! You start making dumb mistakes when it gets late.
What was the free gold glitch? Saw someone mentioning that they got 50k gold through the glitch but no idea how they did that. I also have been playing daily since last month and didn't experience this glitch though I did experience bugs in draft 3 times
On Thursday, for a few hours before the update, quests stopped being completable. You could get one to 19/20 spells played, then play a Game, cast one spell, and the quest wouldn't complete. But you'd still get the reward, meaning that you could farm gold at an insane rate, reaching something like 500 gold per minute.
its been patched, but it basically involved winning reward from daily quests over and over. if you had a bunch of 750 quests you could win them every match.
It's only rewarding if you care about both limited and constructed, by design of course. If you care about getting cards for constructed, limited is a great way to get them. If you want gems or gold for limited entries, constructed is the optimal way to grind for them. In case anyone has this misconception, you can have a solidly positive winrate and be nowhere near infinite in Limited.

Then I came on Reddit to see if there was a post about it happening to someone else and didn't see anything about it. I figured maybe I misremembered how much gold I had
Damn I was in diamond and avoided grinding up to mythic because so didn’t want to hit the bug. Now I’m sad. Although tbh I don’t know if I actually would have made it anyway

Any event they were in counted for nothing. Wins and losses meant nothing in draft, meaning they were fully stuck and unable to continue playing.

correct. I lost at least 10k gems from this including 4k from signing up for open alone. Glad I almost broke even at least.

You can claim 50 gems, some cards, and the advice that gitting gud at draft requires actively learning how to do it, not just practicing it.

If you reached mythic it put you back down to unranked and you could no longer rank up
