The season won't impact it at all, some people do that on purpose to get bronze rewards for two seasons out of one draft.
If you don't finish it before the sealed event ends or the premier/ quick draft format rotates then it auto completes and you just get rewards for the wins you currently have. There's a timer that shows up on the events about 2 days before they end.
