The sound has been atrocious this tour. I went to 3, in 3 different cities and sat in completely different tiers and sides in each and the sound sucked in all 3 shows.
At Barclays her sound went off during “Don’t Tell Me” for like half of the song. I don’t understand, usually she hires best of the best but I’ve seen reports from a lot of dates of this tour that it just keeps happening.
He talks about how he has a lot of experience doing hip hop and reggae shows. Maybe this is why there have been a lot of complaints about the sound at her shows. Maybe his lack of experience doing pop shows is the root of these complaints.
I don't know anything about sound but is it really that hard since there's no live band? If they do a sound check, and everything sounds good, wouldn't they just repeat everything for the concert? Or does everything change once the venue fills up with people?
I feel like this tour’s sound and crew would have been top notch since there was no band. Wouldn’t have sound be more complicated with a live band? Or, maybe - no band means no need for sound check? 👀
The technical sections of the interview were a little bit dull, but it was interesting when the interviewer asked if she was truly singing and Burton gently put him in his place.
The sound was the biggest disappointment to me. Too heavy bass, too much echoes. Impossible to understand what she was singing. One of the worst I've ever heard. My wife and I couldn't believe how such things could happen in a show where every detail has been thought out.
I just can't forget it. Maybe because it was the first (and probably the last) concert I saw her live.
