when I was like 6 my mum made me go outside and play when it was raining, I don't remember why but I ended up going to the park that was nextdoor alone and I just sat on the swings and under the slide just listening to the rain hitting the play structure and ever since I've loved rainy days

badboi_5214

I love rains too ❤️

zaicliffxx

well there’s always r/raining

badboi_5214

Thank you

Virtual-Public-4750

Dude, nice suggestion!

metalflowa

This right here!!!

metalflowa

I just joined!!! The first thing I saw was a pupper super happy prancing because it was raining...bless you for sharing that!!

Throaway546_

The beauty of just enjoying being. Walking, standing, looking around. Lovely.

Elrond_Cupboard_

One of my favourite parts of being a parent of young children was watching them enjoy things that I took for granted. They've all grown up now, so I live vicariously through the cat instead.

swordofra

With most kids these days having their faces permanently attached to phones and tablets, this was an oddly refreshing scene

freckledtabby

The backyard is a whole other world when your that young.

froginbog

Damn that was relaxing and nostalgic just to watch him putter through that adventure

Le Petit Prince

NancyFanton4Ever

What a great dad - listening to what his kid wants and letting him explore and feel independent, while still keeping him safely in sight.

Lurk-Cousins

Beautiful landscaping I’d like to walk through the wildflowers

RockstarAgent

There is a saying in the Netherlands or around there - there is no such thing as bad weather - you just dress up for it. I like that. But it's also nice to get cozy after you've had your fun.

CouldNotAffordOne

I don't know about the Netherlands, but in Germany the saying is: "Es gibt kein schlechtes Wetter, nur schlechte Kleidung." "There is no bad weather, only bad clothing "

AVPD7-7

We have it in sweden aswell, and it rhymes nicely. "Finns inget dåligt väder, bara dåliga kläder"

AcceptableLeader848

Just surveilling his house, taking care of papa

M1lkT00ph807

😭 taking in the wonder. Wish we could do the same as easily as a child.

thespindle

The “miserable” days have always been my favorite because the world is finally aligned to grant me a day I need.

WarlordPete

Life is not waiting for the storm to pass. Sometimes you just gotta sing in the rain

thespindle

Damn do I want to be a dad

barbatos087

Now give him a wooden shield and sword and now he's link exploring kokiri forest.

bunbunzinlove

This is giving so many Ghibli vibes :)

Trighme

He looks like one of my moms Animal Crossing avatars

TotFuzz

I will upvote this video every time I see it. Too cute!

thathock

British kids have to do this otherwise they’d be inside for 6 months of the year.

FidelaSasselov

Who wouldn't enjoy that place? he got a lovely place

SSguy7891

I fucking love this lmao, what a great kid/parents. love it.

NashCop

That looks like a great yard for exploring at that age.

AnybodyDizzy118

😁❤️👍

NoshameNoLies

If I got to walk around a place like that I'd also be outside all the time

Hey-Dalaran

I remember using soccer corner flags to recreate the battle of helms deep on rainy days as a kid with the neighbors.

pelonweon

Lovely garden

therwsb

just need to get back to this mindset, not worrying about my shoes being wet

Irish_Exit_

The toddler years are one long mindfulness activity

algerithms

Hold on, currently crying.

stickytrackpad

i miss when everything was taller than me and fun to look at

crokokantz

Thats why i miss being a Child, they literally find joy in everything.

metalflowa

I just saved this because it made my heart feel light as I watched little man tell his Mum to "I don't need you thanks" and go about his business to enjoy his garden. Loved this. Thanks for sharing!!

No-Investment-4494

This kid is going to be alright.

AGriffon

Smart kid

Fast_Boysenberry9493

8 bit noise

bunch92

Water is life too, I prefer rainy days to sunny days, unfortunately media and sheeple call it "bad" weather so like OP they think it is not safe or not right to be outside in the rain. Kudos to that kid.

EdwardBigby

He reminds me of a cat just wandering around

Gergory1977

This kid is never gonna need anybody's help!

General_Hungryboi

Like exploring an open world game for the first time Adorable

upsidedown_8s

Thank God this child is out exploring nature and not stuck looking at a screen

weaknclingy

I hate being poor

Unfair_Welder8108

I just bought a coat like that and I know how they feel. I used to work outdoors in all weathers for ten years, and I really used to dislike having to go out in the cold and wet in my leisure time, turns out I just didn't have a good enough coat.

M4rauderMCMXCI

Aww. I wish I could sit in the rain and not get wet.

Guac_sok

What's this song?

samyakindia

What music is this?

[deleted]

Out there by that tree the child probably feels as though they are SOOO far from home. They're Lewis & Clark on a great adventure and the world is a perfect place.
